A huge week coming up at the Seeley-3 Events!

Beginning with possibly the first ever ventriloquist to visit Pomeroy!!! This Sunday at 2:00, sponsored by the Pomeroy Friends of the Library and the Shepard Foundation.
Do not miss this fun for all ages event! The air conditioning will be on and popcorn and treats will be served.

This Friday, June 26th at the Seeley, 2 FREE Movies!! And Free POPCORN!!!

At 5 pm, “The Iron Giant”

The first movie of the summer is sponsored by Kris and Alyssa Taylor and family!

At 7 pm is “O Brother, Where Art Thou?”

Again, sponsored by a local family, the Davis’s!

This will be Jared and Mandi’s third year sponsoring the Seeley’s summer movies!!
They are always helping to support and improve the art and fun in our little town..

“The Iron Giant” is a movie from 1999 for kids and adults-this cartoon, directed by the amazing Brad Bird, is a story of a giant robot befriended by a young boy, set during the cold war in 1957.
Character voices come from Jennifer Aniston, Harry Connick Jr., Cloris Leachman, and an odd character voice from Vin Diesel! Suitable for all ages.

“O Brother, Where Art Thou?” is a movie from 2000 directed by the Coen brothers. This hilarious, play on Homer’s “Odyssey” is set in the south in the 1930’s. Starring George Clooney, John Turturro, John Goodman, and Holly Hunter, this movie is a blast to watch and sports a wonderful folk/rock soundtrack. It is rated PG-13.

We are trying out double features this year, with movies for kids first, and more adult ones later, to see how many of you would like to come to movies at the Seeley.

Summer Movies are here!!!

Here are the first 4 movies of the summer-2 double features, an early show for kids, and a later show for adults and older kids.

We are trying this format this summer to see how it works.

All movies will be free to everyone all summer!

The Seeley is looking for sponsors for our 12 movie season.
Please contact us if you would like to sponsor a movie-

We still need sponsors for "Iron Giant" and "O Brother, Where Art Thou"

Our sponsorship cost per movie starts at $250. If you would like to purchase popcorn for the viewers as well, the sponsorship will start at $300.

The Seeley is a non-profit, and we pay a license fee of $245 per movie -so the sponsorships and concession stand sales help us keep the movies going for the summer.

We are planning to show 12 movies this year! Let us know if you have any suggestions, and thanks for your support!!!

It was a great night at the Seeley!
Thanks again to the friends of the Denny Ashby Library and Sofia Talvik!

We also completed a major step in lighting and electric throughout the building. New stage lights, aisle lights and lots of new working outlets thanks to all of your continued support and donations. Below is a photo of all of the electrical cords I was able to remove from use yesterday due to our improvements!
