Looking for volunteers!!
Have you ever wanted to learn the skills to create gourmet tasting meals in the outdoors? Would like to have an option to cook excellent meals even if the power went out. What about when camping with the family, and hot dogs are just not going to cut the mustard.
We are going to be creating a series of classes that will be available for streaming and we are looking for cast members to join in the fun!.
"Dutch Oven Basics" classes will help a person with zero to little experience with a Dutch Oven, begin to master the art of outdoor gourmet cooking. We are looking for a handful of folks interested in learning and participating for free, in exchange for being one of the stars of our online classes. You should have a Dutch Oven, and be willing to purchase the ingredients or materials for you to use in each class (material and ingredient lists will be given to those who are picked at the orientation meeting around the first of Jan.
Classes where we will be doing actual cooking, will be formatted in "entire meals" so one will be cooking a main dish, another a side dish, and then finally a desert. Techniques will be taught on how to master time management, fuel usage, prep tips, and serving presentation for each. All will then have an opportunity to enjoy the meal that was created.
When finished with the 10 classes participants should leave feeling confident in using a Dutch Oven, understand how to regulate heat in a Dutch Oven, know how to clean and care for a cast iron pot, or pan, know how to convert the cooking strategies from the outdoor Dutch Ovens to the indoor enameled Dutch Ovens, if desired, and finally, they should feel confident in their cooking skills to experiment on their own at home or in the wild.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!

My name is Kris, and I am “foodie”… there I said it. You know they always say that the first step in addiction recovery is to admit that you have a problem. Well, what if you don’t want to recover? Ha ha! You see I might be a “foodie” but my passion is more in cooking for others. I love to...

Have a Dutch Oven and it looks like this?
They can be salvaged, it takes some elbow grease for sure and some patience, but a once rusty and dirty oven can be saved and brought back to life again. We offer classes on how to do this, or we will do it for you for a reasonable fee.
Come join us, or drop off your pots, either way you will have your pot ready to cook scrumptious meals again in no time. Drop us a note and let us know what you would like us to help you with.
