Elopement Venue open house
I’m hosting a casual open house on Saturday February 7, 2026, 10-3, for couples (and family members) who may be curious about our small local elopement venue.
This is not peak season for us — the flower gardens are dormant and the deciduous trees are very much in their winter “stick phase” — but if you can use a little imagination, it’s still a great way to understand the space and picture what it looks like in spring, summer, and fall. We normally stay closed this time of year, but thanks to some unusually warm weather I’m able to work on projects and open the property for a short window.
If you’re thinking of coming by, I’d really appreciate a heads-up ahead of time. I try to keep numbers light so I can give each couple my full attention, walk you around the property, and answer questions without things feeling rushed or crowded.
For a bit of background: the property originally operated as a photography venue for a decade. After years of repeated requests, we began offering elopement ceremonies as well. What we do is intentionally different from full weddings. We focus on the ceremony itself, photography, and small gatherings — not large receptions or parties.
We include the venue, photography, and officiating all in one place. Guest count is capped at 30, though many ceremonies are much smaller, often just the couple with 2–12 loved ones present to witness vows. The atmosphere here is quiet, sober, and peaceful — forest, water, birds, and space to breathe. No loud music or complications. Many couples choose to have their ceremony here and then head elsewhere for a larger reception or celebration afterward.
We have seasonal flower gardens (when in bloom), a private waterfall, a rope swing, forest clearings, and a number of tucked-away spots for vows and photos. The gardens are designed to be lived in — places to take photos, pick a small bouquet in season, or just pause and watch butterflies and birds pass through.
Because we keep things simple, pricing reflects that. A short ceremony for a couple plus two guests typically starts around $600. More guests, additional time, or a more layered timeline can bring things closer to $2,000, which is still a very different scale than a traditional wedding. Elopements aren’t meant to replace weddings — they’re just a different path for couples who want something smaller and more personal.
We still have some wonderful 2026 dates available, and if you’re looking for a way to get married that feels more intentional than city hall or Elvis, and a little more grounded than the usual alternatives, you’re very welcome to come take a look.
I’m always happy to talk, answer questions, and help people think through what feels right for them.
