A few months ago, I went to San Francisco to surprise my mom and dad for their 50th Wedding Anniversary. My brother and sister were able to make it too. I have had a lot of great memories with my family, but this one was truly the best.

As we get close to the end of the year, I reflect on the meaning of Love and what it feels like being there for each couple as they become one together. I think of all the many reasons why I love being a wedding planner, and it always comes back to Love and what that means. This is the true essence of a wedding.

We asked what the secret is to being married 50 years.

Dad: "Love, Communication, and a Sense of Humor"

Mom: "Same as Dad, and added Never go to bed Angry and to always say I love you before you go to bed."

Many of you will be celebrating your first Christmas as a Married Couple, some of you will be enjoying your last Christmas engaged. I am so excited for each of you! Enjoy every loving moment together. You are Amazing!!!

Despite the afternoon rain, laughter filled the air as the couple sealed their vows with a kiss, surrounded by the misty embrace of the rain.

Nature had its own plans on their special day, painting the sky with shades of gray and blessing the earth with a gentle Hawaiian Blessing. It cleared up just at the right moment.
