I will forever be grateful and honored to be invited into these deeply intimate ceremonies in cultures that are not my own. Danya & Muhammad kicked off their wedding ceremonies this weekend and asked me to have a front row seat to tell the story at the beginning of their legacy.

It is an honor I do not take for granted.

Taking photos on stage at the fox theater tonight. I get some moments in between to sit back and enjoy the space. Just me, all alone in this giant theater. What a feeling!!!

Perhaps one the most enjoyable moments of May was getting to be a part of the ACE Mentorship program along with my futbol, engineering loving son AND Detroit City FC . The high schoolers in the room were so incredibly bright. Sean Mann and David Dwaihy were so inspiring to listen to. I loved how the adults in the room spoke to each student with so much respect and encouragement. Both of these organizations along with the sponsors are actually supporting this community in a way that matters . One of the highlights of my year for sure!

We were not planning on having full access to the Fisher Building in Detroit for the engagement session but this when this gorgeous couple toured this gorgeous location , they could not resist the upper floors of this ICONIC building. Of course, I was fully on board but it wasn’t as easy as just walking in.

The art & detail in this building is unlike anything else in the city. You should know that The Fisher Building welcomes photography on the first floor of the arcade. However, if you want access to other parts of the building to take your engagement or wedding photos, there will be a fee of $250. To do that you can contact them HERE . You will also need to make sure that your photographer has insurance and can add the Fisher Building to their policy for that day. I did this for Brad and Sarah and it was 100% worth it. I will never understand how anyone could have looked at the Michigan Central Station in Detroit and not taken care of it over all those years. But wow it must feel so good to have the kind of money to purchase into resurrecting something so beautifull.

A fitting place for Anthony and Angelina to take their engagement photos and I am so honored that they chose me to do this for them.

Just sliding in here to talk about GRACE. She graduated from the University of Michigan this year with a double major.

Say congratulations people! We should all be proud that the world gets someone like Grace (and so many other amazing grads) . It's not easy but worth it.
