A Heartfelt Announcement, I have been putting this off but I can't any longer,
Violets Are Blue is now permanently closed.
With the continued rise in inflation, operating costs, and gas prices, we have unfortunately reached a point where continuing to operate the shop is no longer sustainable.
Another very difficult part of this decision has been the reality of working 60+ hours a week, often keeping me away from my family and my children far more than I ever wanted. While I have loved what I built with Violets Are Blue, it is not currently sustainable.
Moving forward, I will be focusing more on my home-based handmade business, which will allow me to continue creating while having more time with my family, fewer overhead expenses, and significantly less money spent on gas and operating costs (gas ate me alive 😥).
This was not an easy decision, and I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported Violets Are Blue, trusted me with your floral needs, and allowed me to be part of so many special moments.
For the foreseeable future, Violets Are Blue will remain closed. Perhaps someday circumstances may allow me to reopen in another form, but for now, I am choosing a path that allows me to continue creating while being more present for the people I love most.
