The 89 Design

Remember that little something we had brewing? Well… HERE SHE IS. 💚💜🧡🖤

Halloween Camper Crawl called, and apparently we decided the entire wall needed to be a party. 😂

Because why settle for a little Halloween decor when you can make the whole thing a statement?

We took spooky season, gave it a little 89 Design attitude, and turned it into one BIG photo moment.

And once the sun went down? She really showed off. 👀

A little spooky. A little wild. A whole lot of EXTRA.

Because ordinary was never an option.

A little Halloween sneak peek from this weekend… 👀🎃

We had something brewing for a little Camper Crawl fun, and let’s just say… subtle was never part of the plan. 💚💜🧡🖤

A little spooky, a lot of color, and just the right amount of EXTRA.

We’re keeping the full reveal under wraps for now. Stay tuned! 👻

Spooky season… but make it cute.

We got to be part of Ghosties with Your Girlies this past weekend, and this little ghostie was our contribution to the night.

Shopping, painting, permanent jewelry, local vendors and a whole bunch of girlies getting together for a night out — what more could you ask for?

We love getting to create something a little different, but we love it even more when it means getting to support other local businesses and be part of events happening in our community.

Thank you ShipShape Party Rentals, LLC + The Brush Babe for having The 89 Design along for the fun. 🖤

Spooky season is officially ON. 👻

Because ordinary was never an option.

Trendy. Extra. Unforgettable.

50 years deserves a little gold. ✨

Half a century. Five decades. 50 years together.

For this Golden Anniversary, we kept the color palette timeless — gold, ch*****ne, pearl white and clear — with just a touch of greenery tucked throughout.

Classic. Elegant. And exactly right for celebrating a love story 50 years in the making. 🤍

Some milestones deserve more than a party. They deserve a moment.

Here’s to 50 golden years and all the memories made along the way. ✨

Passport stamped. Destination: PARADISE. 🌴☀️

Pleasant Hill Homecoming called for a little hometown pride with a tropical twist — so The 89 Design and Asterisk LLC teamed up and took Passport to Paradise very seriously.

Balloons, palm trees, grass skirts, bright colors… and of course our Asterisk mascot, who apparently decided parade day was the perfect time to kick back under a palm tree with a cold drink in hand. 💀🍹

Must be nice being management. 😂

There’s something pretty special about getting to roll through a hometown parade representing two businesses our family has built right here in our community.

We work here.
We live here.
Our kids go to school here.
And we’re proud to call Pleasant Hill home. 💜💛

Thanks for another great Homecoming, Pleasant Hill!

CHIEFS KINGDOM, ARE WE READY?! ❤️💛🏈

Game day called for something a little extra.

Chiefs red, gold and white balloons layered over all that gold shimmer — because if there was ever a reason to bring the shine, it’s game day in Kansas City.

And paired with Trendsetter?
Yeah. This one knew exactly what it was doing. 😏

Whether you’re throwing a watch party, celebrating a birthday, hosting a corporate event or just believe Chiefs football is reason enough to throw a party… we can work with that. 😉

HOW ‘BOUT THOSE CHIEFS?! ❤️💛

Espresso yourself. It’s your birthday. ☕🍸

For the birthday girl who takes her coffee seriously… we brought the espresso martini energy.

Rich browns, warm caramel, burnt orange, creamy neutrals — and coffee beans worked right into the balloons because details matter around here.

It’s moody. It’s caffeinated. It’s a little extra.

Basically, if an espresso martini became a balloon installation… this would be her. 💅☕🍸

The 80s called… they want their balloons back. 📞⚡

Neon brights, bold black, pops of gold, starbursts, chains and one seriously oversized brick phone — this install understood the decade.

A little loud.
A little over the top.
And absolutely not afraid of color.

Basically, everything we love. 💅

Currently accepting applications to stay in our Pool Party Era forever. 💦🩷☀️

Rilynn turned EIGHT, so naturally our backyard got a little 89 Design treatment.

Hot pink checkerboard.
Every bright color imaginable.
Balloons around the pool.
Balloons across the deck.
Because apparently balloons have no boundaries when the party is at our own house. 😂

Did we have even more planned? Yep.
Did we eventually run out of time, energy, and give-a-damn? Also yep. 💅

But the sun was shining, the pool was ready, the colors were COLORING, and our birthday girl had one heck of a party.

In My Pool Party Era. 💦✨
Eight looks pretty good on you, Rilynn Raye. 🩷

And just like that… our babies are growing up. 🥹✏️🌈

There’s something extra special about getting to create for our own community — especially when it’s for the kiddos heading back to school at Pleasant Hill Primary.

We donated this colorful first-day photo backdrop to welcome everyone back and give families the perfect spot to capture one of those pictures we swear we’ll look back on someday and wonder how they ever got so big. ❤️

And we couldn’t stop at the backdrop. We made three oversized pencil photo props — Kindergarten, 1st Grade & 2nd Grade — so every Primary kiddo can grab their grade and get that perfect first-day picture. ✏️📸

Here’s to new teachers, new friends, fresh crayons, big backpacks and another year of watching these babies grow right before our eyes.

Have the BEST first day, Pleasant Hill! ❤️💛💚💙💜
