It's sweet pea season at the market, and we're addressing a couple common things you might not know about this highly scented stunner!

Bottom line: if your event is only a day out (maybe two, with use of a cooler), you'll be okay choosing fully open sweet peas. But for a Saturday event, make sure you're choosing sweet peas on Wednesday that only have one open bloom and the rest in bud! They'll still open nice and full for your event and will look their absolute best 👌

Drop any questions you have below! 👇👇👇

Shoutout to for videos of her amazing Japanese sweet peas!

Foxglove season has officially started, and our growers are growing a LOT of it this year!

Here's what you need to know:

* Premium stems (24" or taller, usually beefy first cuts) are sold in 5 stem bunches, $16.50 wholesale.
* Standard stems (12-23") are also sold in 5 stem bunches, $13.20 wholesale
* Buds continue to open up the stem, with older bottom buds shedding over time
* Foxglove is a thirsty stem, so make sure it gets plenty of water and is well conditioned and hydrated before use. It can have a tendency to droop if it gets dehydrated, so use caution in its use. (Florists, comment below on whether or not it holds up in foam!)
* Toxic if ingested, so not recommended for use in displays around food

These tall, romantic spires lend both romance and whimsy to installations and arrangements (especially these premium first cuts coming on now). Later secondary cuts are smaller and easier to work into bouquets and smaller arrangements.

However you use it, this is a statement stem for sure!

DM us your pics of how you've used local foxglove from the market so we can share, or post it to your stories and tag us!
