The funny thing about life is that change doesn’t always wait until we’re ready for it. Sometimes it shows up smack dab in the middle of everything. ❤️

Sometimes that change brings heartache. Sometimes it brings uncertainty. And sometimes, when you least expect it, it brings people into your life who remind you that there’s still so much good ahead.

That’s what this little family reminded me of.

Life hasn’t always been easy, and their story has chapters filled with things no family should have to navigate. But watching these three together, I didn’t just see what they’ve been through.

I saw what they’re building.

A home in each other. A little boy who is so incredibly loved. Two people choosing to show up, not just for the easy days, but for all the days still to come.

I had the privilege of spending an evening getting to know them, laughing with them, and capturing this chapter before they say “I do.”

And goodness, what a reminder that love doesn’t erase the hard stuff. It gives us someone to hold on to while we find our way through it.

Because sometimes the most beautiful part of a story isn’t how it started.

It’s the people who decide to write the next chapter together. 💛

Mother Nature really understood the assignment for this pregnancy announcement session! A gorgeous sunset followed by the dreamiest cotton candy blue hour sky?! OKAY, SHOW OFF! 🌅🩷

The laughs, the love, the little baby outfit… I seriously cannot handle the cuteness!

And now we wait until Saturday because I NEED TO KNOW… are we team boy or team girl?! 🩵🩷

So freaking excited to watch this little family grow!!

Matt and I intentionally take on a limited number of weddings each year. Not because we don’t love weddings (trust me, we REALLY do 😂), but because we want to give every couple the time, energy, and attention they deserve.

We’re not about booking as many weddings as possible.

We’re about getting to know our couples, building timelines that actually work, helping with the little details, coordinating with vendors, showing up for rehearsals, and making sure you can actually ENJOY your wedding day.

This one means a little extra to me.

I’ve known this family since River was just one year old, and somehow she’s already this big. 😭 I’ve gotten to watch her grow, watch their family grow, and now I got to be there while her mom and dad got married.

It’s pretty incredible when you realize how many chapters of someone’s life you’ve been trusted to photograph. I’m just really thankful I’ve gotten to be a little part of their family’s journey along the way.

The weather was beautiful, there was so much love surrounding them, and River obviously stole the show a time or two. 😂🤍

The Creative Arts Fair is happening rain or shine, and we’re ready to make a day of it!

Come wander Downtown Plattsmouth, meet some incredibly talented local artists and makers, shop local, and enjoy everything our community has to offer.

After all that rain last night, we’re crossing our fingers for a little sunshine — but either way, we’re ready for a day full of local art, talented makers, creativity, and community in Downtown Plattsmouth.
