Ronnie Baker Brooks is one of today’s most electrifying guitarists, singers, and songwriters, blending old-school soul, funk, and contemporary blues into one unstoppable live show. Ronnie Baker Brooks was born into Chicago blues royalty as the son of the legendary Lonnie Brooks. Plattsburgh Blues & Jazz is closing out the year in style with three powerhouse concerts that bring some of the biggest names in the blues and soul world to Retro Live, transforming downtown Plattsburgh into an epicenter for live blues and a dance hall for music lovers of all kinds.

Friday, October 17 – Dawn Tyler Watson! She’s been called “Canada’s Queen of Soul,”. A six-time Maple Blues Award winner, a 2020 Juno Award winner, and one of the most electrifying live performers on the scene today. With her full band and horn section, Dawn brings a show that’s equal parts passion, power, and pure joy.
If you have seen her in the past or attended one of the famous summer parties, you know the magic Dawn brings to the stage.

Thursday, November 7 – Ronnie Baker Brooks. Born into Chicago blues royalty, Ronnie Baker Brooks carries the torch of his father, the late Lonnie Brooks, and is one of the most dynamic performers in modern blues. His most recent album won three BMAs including Contemporary Blues Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year. Ronnie is a festival headliner, one of the biggest live acts of the year! Friday, November 15 – Sugaray Rayford with Angelique Francis Opening. A Grammy-nominated powerhouse and 2024 Blues Music Award winner, Sugaray is known for his commanding voice, infectious charisma, and a band that turns every performance into a party. Opening the night is Angelique Francis, one of Canada’s brightest young stars — a multi-instrumentalist, powerhouse vocalist, and winner of a JUNO for best Blues Album. This night will be one of the most exciting double bills ever to hit the North Country.
