Announcement! Plattsburgh Blues and Jazz has always spread the Blues on thick, but now we are doing a very special JAZZ concert on Friday, Sept 25th with none other than Canadian Icon, Dawn Tyler Watson!! Dawn is releasing a new album, "The Jazz Sessions," and it is all about Jazz. This will be her premiere jazz concert appearance in the United States with her professional Jazz trio. Known for her impressive signature vocals, s**t, and phrasing, this will be a standout performance. Dawn is a JUNO Award winner for Blues Album of the Year, the 2017 International Blues Challenge Band winner, a Blues Blast Female Blues Artist of the Year, and a six-time Maple Blues Award recipient, but her training, love, and passion are Jazz. We are having this in a private residence (Jazz at John's) because acoustics, comfort, and listening will be paramount. Light appetizers and dessert will be served. This is also the special tenth-anniversary celebration concert for Plattsburgh Blues and Jazz, and it all started with a house concert featuring Dawn Tyler Watson. Getting ready for the Texas Roafhouse Blues House Concert/Party with the great Hadden Sayers Band. This is for friends, supporters of PB&J: Plattsburgh Blues and Jazz and Kingfish ticket holders. Because Hadden is from Texas and known for his guitar work and d**g collaborations with Ruthie Foster (yes, they won the Grammy last year for best contemporary Blues Album) we are doing a Texas Blues Theme. Its going to be Pot luck along with a Chili icookoff contest. If you want make your favorite chili, bring it in a pot or crockpot, The winner of best chili will get 2 "Kingfish" tickets, first row balcony and I have other prices for the runners up Will have all the fixins.shredded cheese, green onions, tortilla chips, sour cream. rice, hot sauce. Larry bringing his famous Tammy's fresh corn, I made a middle of the road turkey chili, cornbread muffins and a big salad.

Address is 34 MacDonough St, Plattsburgh NY. Its a quiet neighborhood, so park, respecting the neighbors. Doors open at 6pm,, music goes from 7 to 10 pm. It's a $ 20 suggested donation per person that all goes to the band.

Hadden Sayers is a nationally touring blues and Americana guitarist, singer, and songwriter originally from Houston, Texas. In 2024, Sayers was a Grammy nominee and received the Blues Music Award for Song of the Year for his song “What Kind of Fool.” He is also a longtime guitarist and collaborator with Grammy-winning artist Ruthie Foster.

This is a GREAT Band, so we will be rolling back the rugs and be prepared to do the 2-step and dance.
