Sipping my morning hot cocoa and still humming ‘Suddenly Seymour’ after watching Little Shop of Horrors last night! I have to admit, I relate to Rick Moranis’s Seymour character - that sweet, bumbling, plant-loving personality really speaks to me! 😅 I love this story so much I’ve seen the 1986 movie, the original 1960 version, AND multiple local theater productions - can’t get enough! Reminded me why I love working with plants - the non-carnivorous kind! As florists, we bring life and beauty into people’s homes, not drama and demands for blood 🌿

Fun fact: When Plattsburgh Flower Market was owned by the Clarks and located on City Hall Place, I was told that back in the day, City Hall Place was actually referred to as Skid Row - just like Mushnik’s flower shop location in Little Shop! Life imitating art, or art imitating life? 🏪

Speaking of which, this throwback to our 2016 Audrey II Halloween display still makes me smile! My amazing team and I had so much fun creating this guy. Wonder if he’s still lurking in storage somewhere… 🎃🌱
