I feel like all I can think about these days is Christmas trees, greenery, ornaments, furniture, and all the little details that go into bringing these sets to life! 😂🎄

We're just ONE WEEK away from welcoming photographers for our Christmas Promo Week, October 17–23! I'm so excited (and maybe just a little stressed! 😁) to finally see all these ideas come together.

📸 A Little Note for Newer & Growing Photographers…

I know that booking an entire hour at a photography venue isn't realistic for every photographer—especially if you're newer, still building your client base, or simply don't have four families ready to book the same Christmas set during the same hour.
I don't want that to automatically mean you can't create here. ❤️

I mention this on our website, but realized I've never really shared it here:

On a limited basis, I am happy to work with photographers who need shorter 15–30 minute time slots at a reduced rate.

This works best when a set is already set up and available—for example, during Christmas season when the sets are staying up, or with one of our indoor spaces where I don't need to prepare an outdoor set specifically for one short session.

I already do this with a few photographers, and I'd love for others to know that it's okay to ask.

I can't offer short sessions for every set, every date, or every photographer. Our regular bookings will always need to come first, and availability will depend on what is already happening at the venue that day. But when I can make it work without creating additional setup or disrupting another booking, I'm very willing to try.

So if you've looked at our Christmas sets—or any of our photography spaces—and thought, “I'd love to shoot there, but I just can't fill a whole hour yet,” please feel free to message me.

You don't need a huge following or a completely booked calendar to be welcome here. Sometimes you just need a beautiful place, one client, and an opportunity to create something you're proud of. ❤️📷

🎄 The Cozy Vintage Christmas Village is really coming together — and I am SO excited about the direction it is going!

I’ll admit, I’ve been struggling with these sets for the last few weeks. When I shared some of my first AI concept images, something just wasn’t sitting right with me. They were pretty...but they all felt a little too much the same. Lots of plaid, greenery, lanterns and Christmas trees, but they didn’t really have their own point of view.

I kept thinking: Why would a photographer choose the boat instead of the truck? Or the farm trailer instead of the campfire? What story is each space actually telling?

I finally feel like I have a much clearer vision. ❤️
The entire collection will still share that warm Cozy Vintage look—deep greens, rich reds, tartan plaid, warm wood, creamy knits, greenery and lots of nostalgic Christmas details—but now each area will tell its own story.

🔥 Campfire: cozy family Christmas outdoors—hot cocoa, blankets, lanterns and gathering around the fire
🕯️ Fireplace: a timeless vintage Christmas parlor—warm candlelight, velvet, greenery and traditional holiday elegance
🎄 Truck: an old-fashioned Christmas tree farm—like your family just picked the perfect tree to bring home
❤️ Boat: a romantic Christmas date by the water—twinkle lights, cozy blankets and vintage winter touches
🏪 Front of Barn: a little small-town Christmas mercantile/storefront filled with old-fashioned holiday charm
🚜 Farm Trailer: a down-home country Christmas—quilts, rustic farm pieces, natural greenery and simple Christmas warmth

My hope is that these different stories will make it easier for you as the photographer—and your clients—to decide which setting feels most like them.

And a reminder about something that makes this collection a pretty incredible value:
When you book the Truck, Boat, Campfire OR Farm Trailer, your booking automatically includes access to the Christmas Mercantile at the front of the barn AND the Fireplace set. That means three completely different looks during one session for the price of one.

Or, if you want ALL the stories, you can book all six Cozy Vintage sets for $125/hour. 🎄

During regular bookings, when you reserve one of those four main sets, the other outdoor Cozy Vintage sets are blocked from other bookings during your time. So you won't have other photographers and clients moving through this area while you're shooting (with the exception of activity inside the barn).

Promo Week will be different! It is going to be BUSY in this area. 😂❤️ Please come prepared to share the space, be patient, work around one another and give each other lots of grace. We're going to have a lot of photographers creating Christmas magic at the same time!

And one more reminder: these are still AI concept images—not photographs of the finished sets. They are meant to show the story, mood and direction behind each space.

🎄 Should we add another Christmas set? 🎄

I absolutely LOVE this French Provincial sofa (that hasn't been used nearly enough in the fall greenhouse), and I have so many beautiful gold Christmas decorations that I’ve collected and love—but don't work in any of our other Christmas sets. So naturally, I’ve started dreaming up another possibility. 🤎🌲✨

I’m picturing something simple and elegant—this cream sofa, our wooden triangle arch, deep green draping, greenery, touches of gold, my green-and-gold pillows, and a few statement pieces like a gold reindeer and oversized ornaments. Not another elaborate set—just a beautiful, timeless Christmas portrait area where your clients can really be the focus.

But before I start putting it together, I’d love your input!

Would you be interested in photographing a set like this? And if so, where on the property would you put it for the best natural light (without it being in the clients' faces) and background?

I’ve been considering the top of the septic hill with the pond behind it, somewhere near the front pond, or maybe there’s another spot you've photographed here that I'm overlooking. What do you think?

🐰🌿 NEW at Bunny Meadows — The Bunny Adventurer Club!

Do you have a child who LOVES bunnies? We’re turning Bunny Play Time into an opportunity to explore, learn and care with our new Bunny Adventurer Club at The Gathering Table in Plant City!

Bunny Adventurers work their way through 8 different bunny adventures, learning a new skill each time they visit. They’ll explore things like how to safely interact with rabbits, what bunnies eat, bunny behavior and body language, everyday care, healthy habitats, and what it means to be a kind and responsible animal caregiver.

🌱 For younger Adventurers, children receive their own Bunny Adventurer Passport and earn a special badge for each adventure they complete. For example, during Bunny Detective, they’ll slow down and observe the rabbits—What are they doing? What do they notice? What might the bunny be telling them? Complete all eight adventures and they become an official Bunny Meadows Bunny Steward!

📓 Older Adventurers receive a Bunny Journal and take on more challenging observations and activities. One weekly challenge might be to quietly observe one rabbit for 10 minutes and record what it does, how its behavior changes when another rabbit approaches, what its ears and body position might communicate, and one question the student still has.

❤️ And while this starts with bunnies, our hope is a little bigger.

Caring for an animal gives children a very tangible way to practice noticing needs, being responsible, showing patience and kindness, and understanding that their choices affect something beyond themselves. Our hope is that those habits don't stop with the bunnies—that children begin to carry them into how they care for other animals, other people, their communities and the world around them.

How it works: Your child's first visit is regular Bunny Play Time admission. Add a Bunny Passport or Journal for $5 and complete Adventure #1. After that, Bunny Adventurers can return for $5 Adventure Visits as they work through the remaining seven adventures and collect their badges.

🎄LOCAL BAKERS + MAKERS — I HAVE A CHRISTMAS IDEA! 🎄

The Gathering Table is going to be VERY busy with photographers and families during our Christmas photography season (weekends in all of November and December), and I'd love to use that opportunity to support a few other small local businesses.

I'm looking for 2–3 local bakers who might be interested in providing individually packaged baked goods for us to sell on weekends during our Christmas season.

The idea would be simple: drop off Friday evening/early Saturday morning, we'll display and sell your goodies throughout the weekend, and you can pick up anything remaining Sunday evening/Monday morning.

I'm also considering adding a VERY small, curated selection of locally made Christmas gifts — probably no more than 3 makers, each offering a different type of product (woodworking, glass, pottery, textiles, etc.).

I don't want this to become a big vendor market. I'm envisioning more of a sweet little shop-local Christmas corner where families visiting The Gathering Table can grab a treat or discover a locally made gift while they're here. ❤️

It’s not really about the sets. 🖤📸

I can build the backdrop. I can drag out the old wagon wheels, hang the creepy branches, light the lanterns, stack the hay bales, gather the skulls and ravens, and create a place that might become something interesting...

But then a photographer steps behind the camera and a model steps into the scene — and suddenly it becomes a story.

These images from our Spooky Season Photographer + Model Meet-Up are such a perfect example of that.

The expressions. The poses. The angles. The lighting. The willingness to completely play the part. THAT is where the magic happens.

One of my favorite things about The Gathering Table has become watching creative people take something I put together and see possibilities in it that I never would have imagined.

I get to create the space.

You all bring it to life.

And I am so honored that I get to be a little part of that creative process. Plus... I have to admit, this stuff is just really, really fun. 🖤🎃
