Dickens in Downtown 2023
11 days until Dickens in Downtown Plano! The city’s free, family-friendly holiday festival returns Saturday, Dec. 2 from 4-9pm in Downtown Plano. And bring your shopping list because specialty vendors will be set up, and the Downtown Plano stores will stay open late to help you cross off everyone on your list. We’ll also have free photos with Santa, rides on a real snow slide, plenty of photo ops, ice carving demos, carolers, live music on the McCall Plaza stage, a free coffee and cocoa walk sponsored by 1418 Coffee, and a traditional tree lighting with the mayor and city VIPs at 7pm.

A lottery battle sign-up will take place at the event on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Many of the downtown businesses will stay open in addition to the market vendors so you can work on your holiday shopping.

Rest In Plano (R.I.P.) Fest, our free Halloween-themed festival, is still on for Saturday, Oct. 28 from 5-10:30pm in Downtown Plano, but we’ve made a few changes to the programming due to possible rain. Any further weather updates will be posted to @planoarts Facebook and Instagram pages.

For ticketholders, please check in with Plano Arts & Events staff in McCall Plaza on October 27th. If you bought tickets for the 5pm wave, please be at the Plaza and ready to check in by 5pm. Here’s your chance to convince Cruella de Vil that your dog would make a much better unicorn, hot dog, or witch than fur coat. Enter your pup in Cruella's Costume Contest inside JETT PETS during Rest In Plano (R.I.P.) Fest on October 28 between 5-10:30pm. Dogs must be in costume and leashed to participate, and pet parents will need to make a $5 donation to Second Chance SPCA. Voting will occur on our social media after the festival, and the winners in each category will receive a prize basket from JeTT Pets.
