Nonna never liked baking “fancy.” But every December, out came her worn-down box of chocolate bits, orange zest, and ricotta—and out of the oven came magic.

These cannoli cookies weren’t just a treat. They were her way of sneaking the spirit of a cannoli into a little handheld hug.

We’d dust them with sugar, drizzle on chocolate, and steal them warm off the tray when she wasn’t looking (she always knew).

They’re soft, cakey, and taste like Christmas morning. Every time.
