The Griggsville Apple Festival is right around the corner… Our festival is September 19th-21st 🍎

These will all be held @ 6:30pm (tentatively at the new City Hall building if available).

The Griggsville Apple Festival is right around the corner! Our theme this year is “Fairy Tales & Apple 🍎 Pails”. We hope you can make it out to the Car and Tractor Show on Saturday, September 20th! Registration starts at 8am, but you can register early this year by emailing your name, phone number, address, make, model and year of your vehicle/tractor to [email protected]

Car Show Entry is $20. Payment can be made by mailing a check to Griggsville Apple Festival (Attn: Melissa Kelley) @ P.O. Box 265, Griggsville, IL 62340

June is almost over and that means plans for our 2025 Apple Festival are well underway. Dates for this year are Sept 19-21. The theme will be:

Fairy Tales and Apple Pails

We can't wait to see all of the ideas you come up with to help us celebrate apples and fairy tales.

Heads up: there are only 9 days left to complete applications for the this Year’s Ladema Sappington Memorial Scholarship. Applications and reference letters may be turned in through email so there is plenty of time to complete and turn in your application.

This is a $500 scholarship. Applications are available to any of this year’s sophomore or junior boys from GPHS. Ms Dokey has scholarships or you may contact any Apple Festival committee member for more information.

Our next Apple Festival meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 15 at 6:30 at City Hall. We have several big decisions to make and would appreciate as many event chairman and committee members to be present as possible. As always, we welcome new committee members.

Attention parents of GPHS sophomore and junior boys: applications for the 2025 Ladema Sappington Memorial Scholarship have been delivered to the school. This is a $500 scholarship. Deadline to apply is May 1, 2025. Contact Ms Dokey at the GP High School or any of the Apple Festival committee members.

Don’t put off applying. Their senior year will be here before you know it.
