👑 Meet Sophie: Our Longest Resident
Sophie holds a title we truly wish she didn't—she is currently the longest resident at the Pike County Animal Shelter. For 2 years and 10 months, this beautiful girl has watched her brothers and many other friends find their forever homes while she patiently waits for her turn.

About Sophie:
Personality: She is a very laid-back and reserved girl. She isn't one to demand attention, but she appreciates it deeply when it's offered.

Favorite Pastime: Sophie is a professional lounger! Her dream day consists of finding a cozy couch or a soft chair and settling in for a long, peaceful nap.

Affection Style: She is an independent lady who loves getting "love" on her own terms. She’s the perfect match for someone who appreciates a calm, dignified companion.

Why Sophie?
At 4 years old, Sophie is past the "kitten crazies." She knows who she is and what she likes. She has spent over 1,000 days in a shelter environment—she is more than ready to swap her kennel for a real home where she can finally truly relax.
