Tis the season for fresh cracks and what better bottle to celebrate the holidays and our Founder’s birthday than Birthday Bourbon. It’s always one of our favorites and this 2022 batch doesn’t disappoint. At 96 proof, it’s full of tropical fruit aromas of papaya, banana and coconut with a chocolate and oak richness. Kicking off the holidays with a little Bourbon Milk Punch. Cheers🥃🤗
* 1 1/2 ounces bourbon
*3/4 ounces dark rum
* 2 ounces half-and-half
*1/8 ounce pure vanilla extract
* 1/2 ounce simple syrup
* Garnish with a dash of grated nutmeg
Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker over several ice cubes. Shake vigorously, for at least 15-20 seconds. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with grated nutmeg

Meet our Founder & Executive Bourbon Steward, Darlene Powell. Darlene is a bourbon enthusiast that enjoys sharing her love of America’s Native Spirit with others. She began hosting bourbon tastings and teaching people how to make cocktails then later obtained her Executive Bourbon Steward Certification from Stave and Thief, the first bourbon certification program recognized in the bourbon industry and the only program to be recognized by the Kentucky Distillers Association.

Located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Darlene founded Pretty Neat to create unique bourbon tasting experiences to not only educate and showcase the bourbon lifestyle but to also develop sophisticated palates to appreciate the spirit. Bourbon is meant to be shared with family and friends. Darlene doesn’t believe in saving old bottles of bourbon. Her motto is “Crack open those bottles because there will always be more bottles of bourbon. Enjoying bourbon is about the lives you touch and the people you meet while sharing a dram of your favorite expression”. Cheers!
