09.26.26 | the most statistically perfect weather date for the last decade (oh, also Lauren & Dave’s wedding day🤭)
While this is primarily a post dedicated to the dressssss of a lifetime, it’s also showcasing perfect blooms, big bows, little hands (iykyk), and absolutely contagious smiles from the happy couple!
Lauren wrote me one of the sweetest reviews of all time & these are the moments that remind me how special it is to be trusted in your wedding days🩵

Lauren was hands-down, PHENOMENAL. I am so grateful I hired her!

I’m a type A bride who wasn’t sure what I would need her for, but thought that I might need her for *something.* Turns out, I needed her for a lot!

Lauren fills all the gaps - communicating with vendors, making sure everything is cued on time, and is somehow doing everything everywhere all at once. She’s incredibly accountable, organized, and dependable.

I had a dress mishap that my bridesmaids were trying to fix for at least 40 min. Once someone told Lauren, she bolted over with her sewing kit, and fixed it in less than 5! I wish we had told her sooner.

She also took a few videos and photos throughout the day and sent them to us the same night, which was really appreciated.

Most importantly, I was able to be fully present and enjoy the day knowing that Lauren, and her assistant Marin, were taking care of everything behind the scenes. 🤍

I hired Lauren for “day-of” coordination, but her help started once I hired her! If I had to do it again I would consider hiring her for a more inclusive planning package to relieve some of the planning stress/decision-making leading up to the wedding as well. I highly recommend Lauren as a DOC/planner; she’s worth every penny!

After ALOT of thought, I’ve decided to only take on 3 more bookings for 2027! While this is cutting my usual wedding count in half, I really want to reset and refocus in 2027 on creating a deeper connection with my couples, finding a healthier work/life balance, and offer a more curated experience to each wedding. When I started my business, I thought the more weddings I book, the more people I employ, the more successful I am. But this year I’ve realized that being able to actually BE there, be present, and meet each couple where they’re at in their planning process is far more valuable to me. More coffee dates and w**e nights talking about fonts and the 700 shades of ivory. Less “wait which wedding is that”. Year 5 is about to be the best yet✨

To kick things off, these are things other pros have said either directly TO me or TO my couples, which is all around weird behavior.
1. My personal favorite - “I’ve been doing this a lot longer than her.” In reference to disagreeing with my opinion/suggestion on day-of flow. Said directly to a bride. What a wild way to instill confidence in the vendor team by trying to insert your dominance bro 😎
2. “I always do it this way, it’s what works best.” Just shows me that you aren’t flexible and don’t adapt to the individual couple, instead treat every wedding like a copy and paste.
3. “You don’t need a wedding planner, we’ll take care of everything for you.” HAHAHAHAHAHA we’ve all heard that before and watched the pieces fall apart. This one was said to my bride and groom with me sitting RIGHT THERE on a venue tour.
4. “You need years of experience before starting a legitimate business.” Or “you can’t become a wedding planner just because you planned your own wedding.” Well I guess my full time business would say otherwise…
5. “Yeah I saw you emailed me, but didn’t look at it. What’s the schedule for the day?” Are. You. Kidding. Me.

These are just some of my favorites so far from the 2026 season 😇

Everyone’s focused on “what I’d tell you if I wasn’t afraid to hurt your feelings,” but the reality is your wedding planner isn’t your yes man.

You hired us for our experience, expertise, and industry knowledge—and sometimes that means telling you what you *need* to hear, not just what you *want* to hear.

The truth is, no two weddings are the same. What works beautifully for one couple may not make sense for yours. That individuality is exactly what makes your wedding special.

So if I tell you five speeches are too many, there isn’t enough time for all those photos, those flowers won’t survive the heat, or any of the other things you’d rather not hear… it’s because I’m looking out for your day.

Sorry, not sorry. You’ll thank me later. 🩵
