It’s official🩵🥹🎉🍾

It’s hard to find the words to express what this step in Something Blue means to me, but I can say that 21 year old Lauren with her politics degree and a waitressing job would be proud. 27 year old Lauren with a whimsical idea to start a business having no formal background in events would be PROUD. & this cheesy candid that captured of me last season, proves it all. I love every single second of what I do and I’m so so so thankful that I get to do it.

Unpopular Opinion: winter weddings are superior & there are so many ways to have a classically beautiful holiday wedding ✨

Pros:
• alot of venues/vendors offer reduced pricing during the winter months (ask me about my winter specials!!)
• arrangements are already made indoors, so no need for “what if it rains” or “it’s too hot, the guests are uncomfortable”
• lights are already hung everywhere making photos stunning & saving you the work
• long sleeve wedding dresses or cape? an absolute vibe.
• perfect weather for black tie attire and design 🖤
• no clashing with peoples summer vacation plans or travels

2 years ago today I officially “booked” my first paid wedding coordinating job. For the last 2 years I’ve fallen more and more in love with every piece of the wedding coordination and planning process. My 5-year plan was to confidently call myself a “Wedding Planner”, but I’ve always been an over-achiever 😉
