We love a sheer bodice moment. We think it’s a great way to show a little extra without feeling exposed; especially if it’s a structured bodice!

One of the first things you'll notice when looking at wedding gowns is the silhouette of each style and how vastly different (or similar!) they can be. While we love talking about our gowns, sometimes we forget that not everyone is familiar with the terminology (oops). Here's your vocabulary study guide with all of the necessary silhouettes you'll see when browsing gowns online and during your appointment! (We promise we won't quiz you.)

Remember at the beginning of the year when we (Sara) said exposed corsets and drop-waists would be a trend?

There are many different necklines to choose from for your wedding gown - from high-neck to plunge, and everything in between. Luckily, we're here to help you figure out which one you love the most!

These new arrivals have a neckline that you may not have heard of, the bateau neckline, but you probably know it by its more common name: boat neck.

Bateau (pronounced Bah-Toe) or boat neck was famously worn by Meghan Markle for her royal wedding to Prince Harry. It's a wide neckline that runs horizontally, almost from shoulder to shoulder. The name comes from the French sailors' blouses with wide navy and white horizontal stripes - hence the name boat neck!
