all the way back to 2005! Looking back I was reminiscing on college class assignments from my days.
Going home to Murray, IA I photographed some of my high school friends to finish up a college assignment. Still a bit fresh into digital, this was taken on a Canon 20D!

An artwalk night photo experiment of light and prism filters!

Various colored gels switched in and out of in front of flashes to create colorful shadows and subjects.

Prisms mounted onto brass knuckle type holders handheld just in front of the lens distort some images with trippy effect.

June is LGBTQ pride month. Mona Rae Photography is excited to launch a project to capture what you love. Shoots can celebrate partners, pets, couples married on non milestone years. Or just you being your amazing self. Have an idea for a photo shoot that doesn’t fit the standard portrait session? This is the time to make it happen.

Percentage of sales of sessions booked in June going to SEK's Q Space to support their Safezone trainings.
Q Space offers a free 2-3 hour introductory LGBTQ educational training. Safe Zone trainings are opportunities to learn about LGBTQ+ identities, gender and sexuality, and examine prejudice, assumptions, and privilege.
