Saturday Recap Part 1! 🎶✨
Thank you to everyone who participated in and attended our concert at the Pritchett Pavilion! 💕

We were so excited to feature local vendors such as Smittle House Ice Cream, the PSU Intensive English Program, L&N-ade with refreshing drinks, a bracelet stand run by two local girls, a tostilocos stand, aguas frescas, and Cookie Monsters from A Creative.

We also enjoyed an inspiring art exhibition by Gabriela Alvarez, a PSU student, and delicious food from Tía Vero’s Kitchen who made our festival their very first event!

Thank you for helping us make this event so special for our community! 💃🎶

Thanks for coming to our event!!

Hispanic Route on September 27 was the fifth event in this year’s Hispanic Music Festival. It started with a block party in the afternoon at the Pritchett Pavilion that featured music and dance performances from local talent, a food truck and vendors.

The Hispanic Music Festival is hosted by the Pitt State Music Department in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. It was organized for the first time last year by Isaac Hernandez and Frida Herrera.

🌮🎶 Hispanic Route – Sept. 27
Join us for a day of Latin celebration with two exciting stops along the Hispanic Route — filled with music, food, and culture!
All events are FREE and open to the public.

☀️ Parada Tropical
🕛 12:00–2:00 p.m. | Pritchett Pavilion
Kick off the day with live music, local performers, food trucks — and the official presentation of our very first High School Banda Camp!
Also featuring the delicious debut of Tía Vero’s Kitchen food truck. 🌮🎺

🌙 Noche Latina
🕖 7:00–9:00 p.m. | Colonial Fox Theatre
An evening filled with Latin rhythms, community, and celebration. Toast will be on-site offering drinks while you enjoy the show! 🍹💃

📸 Don’t miss this day-long celebration of cultura, sabor, and comunidad. Bring your friends and follow the music!

The Hispanic Music Festival continues with music that will transport you to different places! 🎶

Join us on Wednesday , Sept. 24 at 7:30 p.m. in McCray Hall for a special concert with Ayllu KC, a talented group from Kansas City performing music from Peru and Bolivia. 🎶

Come experience the rhythms and sounds that bring a taste of home and celebrate the richness of South American culture.

Free and open to everyone!
Pitt State students, faculty, and the community, everyone is welcome!

Downtown Pittsburg, Kansas will come alive with a two-part event called “Sonidos del Corazon: Music Under the Stars.”

𝟱 𝗽.𝗺. • 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗹𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿

Food trucks, local dancing groups, and Pittsburg Hispanic Banda. Confirmed vendors: Tacos el Gordo, El Moreno, Pasiôn Peruana, The Sweet Pitt, and Island Time Snow Cones). Bring your lawn chairs/blankets!

A high-energy free concert by Making Movies — a Grammy-nominated band founded by a Panamanian songwriter, musician, filmmaker, and cultural producer. The band interweaves styles as divergent as cumbia and blues, salsa, soul, and rock-n-roll.

𝟳:𝟯𝟬 𝗽.𝗺. • 𝗠𝗰𝗖𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹

The Peruvian group AylluKc will perform a free concert of folkloric and classic music from the Andes of Peru and Bolivia.
