I was blown away by the venue. So much so, that I couldn't get it out of my mind long after the wedding was over. With a background in art, design, event planning, weddings, and a career in hospitality, I felt that this was my calling. After the birth of our first child, Lilly, I spent my maternity leave tending to our new baby and drawing up a business plan. A year and a half later, we were read
y to begin construction. I named the venue Magnolia Bend for several reasons. My Great Aunt, Betty Smith, who was like a Grandmother to me, loved Magnolias. They were all over her house, and there is a large Magnolia tree right beside her porch. I loved playing with the leaves when I was a child. She passed away the week our Lilly was born. I wanted to honor her memory. We decided on Bend, due to the extreme curves on Flagon Rd, our location. It is the community I grew up in, and I am proud to return home to. Our place includes the use of building and grounds for 3 days, with no time limits for prep. A 5,184 square foot farmhouse, complete with 720 square foot porch, and 864 square foot deck, flat screen tv(no one is missing a game here), caterers kitchen, spacious restrooms, use of all furniture (including real wood English tea tables), bridal suite, grooms room, plateware, barware, linens, props and minimal decor, service staff of five for day of including security, day-of coordination when needed, use of grounds for photo sessions at any time, and clean up. Prices will vary for other special events throughout the week. At this time we do not offer Magnolia Bend a la carte`. This means, we do not deduct from price should you have no need for a wedding coordinator, security, etc. It is a package deal. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram as things progress. We would love to talk to you!
