Hey there friends I just wanted to come on here and explain or rather give my point of view on my business especially to newly engaged couples and their family and friends trying to help them.
I am so honored that you researched my social media and really liked what you saw and reached out to me about your big day. Thank you. There is a process to getting a consult with me and I only have certain times and days I am able to do so. I run a full fledged flower shop with daily deliveries on top of my special events floral business. Between Cate and I we spend about 90 mins going over your detailed online form, and try to come up with what we would need to charge to make it profitable for me to take on your wedding. We do this first to make sure right from the start that we will be a good match visually and monetarily before we even bring you in for the in person consultation so no one is feeling like their time has been wasted.
However I have been totally Godsmack by the lack of control, politeness and decent basic respect for others I have witnessed and been the brunt of when I give my quotes out. I get it you don't want to spend numerous thousands on your flowers but I have the cost of running a legitimate brick and mortar business with payroll, electric bills, insurance, rent and flower bills that go up every week it seems with tariffs and transportation costs. It's tough all over. I also have 30 years experience, 2 year degree and 20 years of owning and running this business that I think most people forget about. You are not paying just for flowers. You are paying myself and my team for our expertise and artist creativity to design the flowers, keep them fresh, transport and set them up for your event. That is what you are really paying for.
So please don't tell me how much more expensive my quote is and how I am price gouging you. I just know how to properly price my work and know what my value is and what I bring to the table of floral design. What the actual disconnect between us is I just don't align with your budget and that's ok. Thank me for my time (don't ghost me) and hire the florist that fits your needs the best. 🥰
