This week, The Josephine Spotlight shines on DJ Shan

✨Meet Shannon Fuselier. Shannon is a Louisiana native, originally form New Orleans. She is a graduate of the University on New Orleans with a Bachelors of Science in Marketing. Happily married for 30 years, with two wonderful children, and a bonus daughter.

Following college, Shannon launched a 17-year pharmaceutical sales career, where building relationships with hospitals and doctor's offices across Louisiana sparked her love for public relations. As a hobby, she started playing music for friends and family in backyards and homes. A twist of fate landed one of those casual events in a public venue, that one chance moment changed everything—and the rest is history.

DJ Shan Entertainment officially started in 2010. A passion for music, and unique energy led Shannon to being a professional DJ in CenLA for the last 16 years. She specializes in weddings, corporate events, and parties, playing all genres of music. Shannon loves creating memorable experiences with her clients. The fun starts even before the event with planning the music theme, and bringing the clients vision to life.

Over the years, Shannon's career path has taken a turn into the teaching profession. She taught elementary school for 4 years, and has been teaching high school geometry over the last 5 years.

A creative working balance allows Shannon to enjoy both teaching and DJing. In her free time she enjoys spending quality time with her family, along with just relaxing and unwinding.

🤍Insights from Shannon: "I love The Josephine for several reasons. The chapel is beautiful, as well as venue and the property, as a whole. The owner, Ms. Jennifer, and the staff are always so easy to work with. As a DJ, the set up is convenient, and there is a sound system already in the chapel. I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every wedding I have done there, from the staff, to the brides and grooms, and just to the overall experience."

This week, The Josephine Spotlight shines on Perfectly Still Photography

✨Meet Jessica Sills. Jessica’s love for photography began with her first iZone Camera in 1999. (Yes, she’s showing her age—but who cares? She wears those grays with pride!) Her early work was full of action and focused on outdoor adventures, from mud and trail rides to wildlife and nature. Capturing nature in all of it's glory was always a favorite of hers.

After the birth of her first child in 2018, Jessica discovered a new passion: photographing people. Just days after her Caesarean section, she was on the ground posing her newborn son for photos—and she quickly realized she had found her calling!

Jessica studied hard to learn her camera inside and out, participating in workshops, photography courses, and worked hard to ensure every photo she captured was better than the last. With the help of her amazing husband, and encouraging and supportive sister, Jessica transformed her lifelong passion into a business by 2021 and is living her dream.

Jessica is married to Justin Sills, her husband of 10 years and now her business partner and co-photographer. Together, they’re an unstoppable duo and proud parents to Hudson and Stella.

Being a wife and mother has shown Jessica how deeply she loves and puts others first—a quality that shines through in her photography.

The emotions and connections of those around her fuel Jessica’s creativity. From the first inquiry to the final images, she gives every client her full attention.

She loves capturing authentic moments, genuine emotions, and the details that make every story unique. Jessica gives each client her all, capturing not just a chapter, but their entire story.
