There is something especially exciting about watching an idea begin to take shape—and knowing from the very beginning that we can’t do it alone. ❤️ This was an answer to prayer. (See details in a post at a later date)
On Saturday, October 3, The WhiteOak will be opening our grounds and barn for the WhiteOak Pig Roast Fundraiser, a fun, family-centered afternoon created to bring our community together while raising funds toward the future building of Pine City Evangelical Free Church.
And we are already so excited to see what God has in store.
We are looking for people who would be willing to come alongside us in all sorts of ways—helping with setup and decorating, serving food, children’s activities, auction baskets/donations, the auction it’s self, cleanup, or donating baked goods, prizes, funds, or simply your time.
Some people may be able to give an afternoon.
Some may bake a pan of bars.
Some may donate something for the auction.
Some may roll up their sleeves and help wherever they’re needed.
Every part matters.
This event is bigger than what any one of us can do alone, and maybe that is exactly how it is supposed to be. There is something beautiful about watching God take willing hands, generous hearts, a barn, a pig roast, and a community—and turn it into something far greater than we could create ourselves.
We don’t know exactly what October 3 will look like yet…but we are prayerfully expectant. ❤️
