Today, we say goodbye to a legend. 💔

Dolly Parton, born and raised here in the Smokies, passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 80. To the world, she was a music icon. To Tennessee, she was family.

Through Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, her tireless generosity, and a lifetime of kindness, Dolly showed us all what it means to give back to the community you love. She put these mountains on the map, and she carried Tennessee in her heart wherever she went.

"Find out who you are and do it on purpose." Thank you, Dolly, for teaching us to lead with love, laughter and open arms.

Rest easy, Dolly. Our stompin' grounds will never be the same. 🕊️
