What a great night! Last night was a very special night for us here at The Place Downtown, this was our 6th show with Mr. Glen Templeton and somehow it gets better every time. A GT show is definitely something everyone should experience at least once in their life and we are so fortunate to have been able to host Glen so many times. I think Glen has established a small home away from home here in Piedmont, it is amazing to see what a great following he has. Thank you to each and every person that showed up and spent their hard earned money with us here in downtown Piedmont, Al. Thank you to our wonderful staff that helped to make the night a great experience. In the past few years we have been so fortunate here in the downtown to do what we love and last night was our biggest night ever at The Place & Shell's Downtown combined. We had a great time this past Saturday night at The Place Downtown in Piedmont, Al. We were honored to have the very talented River Dan and his band here and what a great show they brought to town. I recommend if you haven’t been to a River Dan show then you need to look him up, truly a great group of guys. First off i got to apologize for the quality of my pictures this time, i normally do better but everything was wet and we were running around trying to cover things up so this is all i had time to get but i think you can get the picture, so to speak. This night started out perfect with Hunter Chastain opening the show and singing some of his awesome originals, and then Mr. Dalton Dover Music hit the stage with his out of this world vocals and extremely talented band, but shortly after that the bottom fell out! But what happened next was definitely not what we expected, instead of ducking out or rolling up Dalton stepped up to the plate and knocked a homerun, he announced rain or not the show was gonna go on, and that it did! He proceeded to put on a flawless Dalton Dover show 90 minutes long, and let me tell you what else…. Less than 10 people left the show, it was something to see to say the least, even Hunter Chastain and Unkle Solow got up to sing with Dalton under these terrible conditions. So, thanks to these great musicians that stepped up, thanks to our hard working staff here at The Place Downtown for making things go smooth, a special thanks to all the wonderful customers that came out and weathered the storm with us, lol. And last but not least thank you WEIS Radio for covering our event. A great night in downtown Piedmont, Al.!!!!! , ,
