🌿✨ Plants Have Energy & So Do We. ✨🌿
Have you ever noticed how simply being around plants can change the way you feel? How walking into a greenhouse, tending to a garden, or even holding a little succulent in your hands can bring an unexpected sense of peace?
I believe there’s something beautiful happening in those moments. An exchange of energy between us and the living things we nurture. 💚
And while we often think of ourselves as the caregivers, perhaps we should consider how much our plants give back to us.
Plants are living organisms, constantly responding to their environments. They absorb sunlight, transform it into chemical energy, respond to touch, and communicate through complex chemical signals. They are far more dynamic than they appear.
Research suggests that interacting with plants and spending time in nature can help reduce stress, improve our mood, and encourage a sense of calm.
But I think there’s something even deeper about the relationship.
🌱 We give them our attention, and they teach us presence.
🌱 We give them patience, and they teach us acceptance.
🌱 We give them care, and they remind us that we deserve nurturing, too.
🌱 We give them space to grow, and they remind us to give ourselves the same grace.
Perhaps the most beautiful part of this relationship is that neither of us has to be perfect to thrive.
A succulent doesn’t apologize for needing more light. A cactus doesn’t feel guilty for protecting itself with spines. And a plant doesn’t question its worth during a season when it isn’t blooming.
Maybe the energy we exchange with plants isn’t just about what we give or receive. Maybe it’s about how their presence changes ours.
So the next time you’re tending to your plants, slow down. Be present. Let the experience nurture you as much as you’re nurturing them.
Because sometimes, while we’re busy helping something else grow, we don’t even realize we’re healing, too. 🌸
