With the holidays upon us, book a photography session for professional photos of your family or friends during your stay at Berryfield. Even if you aren't staying overnight, book a day session. The bridge, deck, and blueberry field all make great natural backdrops.

We work with all photographers but the photographer that we trust, and that has full access to the farm is Megan Barlow Fleming. She is local and shares our vision of community and bringing family together.

Megan's booking slots fill up pretty quickly so be sure to book with her well in advance. Check out her work at the link below, and like her page for future reference. She recently did a photo shoot with a young family at the blueberry field, and we love the pictures so much.

If you are wondering what open spaces we offer, there is a large dining room / living room once you open the front door. Once you walk inside and head toward the kitchen, there is a sun room off the kitchen that opens up onto a large deck. There is a dining room table that seats 6-8, a kitchen table that can seat 6, and then the back deck with a patio table that seats up to 8. There is plenty of room for extra fold up chairs and extra tables. The deck is really amazing. It was built by our dad and overlooks the backyard and pond. Honestly, it is the best feature about the house. If you walk down to the backyard from the deck, there is also a fire pit area.

Our last featured room is the West Texas Room. There is a full size futon in this room plus lots of board games, puzzles, books, and crafts. This is a great space for kids, teens, or those of us who are young at heart. We are looking forward to seeing guests add to this collection. The third bedroom is what we call our Friendship New Mexico Room. It has a great view of the pond from the window and has a twin bed with a twin trundle. It is a bit smaller than the other two rooms, but has lots of closet space which is where we keep extra inflatable mattresses and a packnplay. Our parents liked to vacation in New Mexico and this room features some cactus prints that are reminiscent of the desert and adventure.

The second featured bedroom is our New Orleans Room. If you stay in this room, it will absolutely get you in the mood to take a day trip to New Orleans, which is an easy one hour drive from the house. This room has a full bed, and there is also an extra twin fold-up bed frame and mattress in the closet of this room. If you decide to stay local, that is okay too because you will find that Picayune has some pretty good Cajun inspired restaurants.

So if you come stay at Berryfield, you probably won't be inside a lot, but if you are, there are several bedrooms to choose from. This is the master bedroom. We like to call it the Dauphin Island Room. The beach and sailboat decor will have you relaxed in no time. There is a queen size bed and also a twin bed that can be used to keep little ones close by or for a reading nook. It is a very large room and has a television in it.
