The Thrifty Discount DJs have been delivering classic vinyl sounds in the Philadelphia area since 2008. The Thrifty Discount DJs are retro to the livin' end and spin 100% of their tunes on vintage vinyl LPs and 45s. The sound reinforcement equipment combines vintage and modern components, providing the best in fidelity for the music, the event, and the venue. Recent events include gallery openings

, graduations, between-band music at clubs, First Fridays, dance parties, store & boutique events, garage sales, a 50th wedding anniversary, a 70th birthday party, and storefront-window shows in Phoenixville, PA. Additionally, for several years The Thrifty Discount DJs have spun vinyl one Sunday a month at Steel City Coffee House in Phoenixville, PA, presenting a different "theme" each month. These Sunday shows have included: "Mod London", "Super Soul Sunday", "Retro Lounge", "Look What They Did To The Beatles" (covers of Beatles songs), "New Orleans", "Music of Memphis", "The Psychedelic Freakout", "Be-Bop-A-Lula" ('50's rock n' roll), "July in Christmas", "Funky Luv", "The Elvis Presley", and "Great Soundtracks". GOODBYE - Of course, goodbye y'all!..and: a SURPRISE! You gotta be here!
And... this could be the last DJ SUPER THRIFT event for a while, as there's more live music with Blanko Dave and The National Bird these days. But who knows? Maybe see you down the road, at a record show or guest DJ spot or something, if so it'll be posted here. Keep digging up & spinning the vintage vinyl!

Cleaning yinyl LPs to deliver a quality music listening experience for you on 12/26 at Troubles End! However, this will be the last Spin Cycle DJ night at Troubles End... and could be the last DJ SUPER THRIFT event for a while! So, this will likely be the last album cleaning session for a long time. So it goes. The fickle finger of fate will find us all. Anyway... this last Spin Cycle night will be a good one, more on that soon! See ya!

On 12/26, DJ SUPER THRIFT presents JULY IN CHRISTMAS! That's right, cure the holiday hangover with three hours of 100% vinyl spins of songs about Summer, surfing, Hawaii, cars, the beach, and so on! 7 PM at Troubles End Brewing!
On a sad note, this will be the last DJ SUPER THRIFT show at Troubles End for the foreseeable future, in fact it's the last Spin Cycle DJs vinyl night at Troubles End for now. So thanks everyone for the support and see you all somewhere down the road!
