Alwun House is a nonprofit volunteer based arts organization, located in downtown Phoenix’ historic Garfield neighborhood, engaging the power of art to transform, strengthen and unify community. Our mission is to showcase emerging and established artists of various cultures & disciplines, to explore & refine their work, to provide collaborative opportunities for interdisciplinary artists, and to

produce special events that brings together artist and community, enriching the cultural climate and enhancing the quality of life. Celebrating 50 years this Fall, Alwun House is known for it’s lush garden oasis patios, and stage, where musicians, poets, dancers and multicultural events occur. The garden patios are also popular as a rented venue for weddings and special occasions.

Calling All Artists! Got a Bold Vision or a Body of Work Ready to Shine?

Alwun House is now accepting proposals for our 2026-27 Exhibition Season — and we want you to be a part of it! We have six coveted slots available for solo or group exhibitions in our historic gallery, and we’re looking for fresh, fearless, and thought-provoking work to fill them.

Dare to exhibit. Dare to inspire. Whether you’ve been developing a cohesive body of work that’s aching for the spotlight, or you’re dreaming up a collaborative group show with a powerful theme — this is your chance to make it happen. Alwun House has a long history of showcasing dynamic, boundary-pushing art, and we’re eager to hear what you’ve got in mind.

Submit your exhibition concept, artist statement, and a sampling of your artwork for consideration. All mediums, themes, and creative risk-takers welcome. From painting to sculpture, photography to installation — we’re looking for work that sparks conversations, stirs emotions, and ignites imaginations. Let’s fill these walls with art that matters.
