Here is the menu for Saturday, Aug 29. You may order at any time before Friday afternoon. You can simply message me (623-254-8447) or my mom (480-565-9378) to place your order. The food can be picked up on Saturday between 10 am and 2 pm.

We have two pickup locations! Choose to either pick your food in Tempe (Baseline - Hardy) at Ibu’s place or Phoenix Ahwatukee (Ray - 48th) at Kakak’s place.

I originally created “Ibu & Kakak” to share the love my mom and I have for food. And now looking back, I think it was always so much more than food.

That’s really where Ibu & Kakak came from. It was about the relationship between a mother and her daughter.

And now, somehow, that name means even more to me.

Earlier this April, I became an Ibu (Mom) myself to our beautiful daughter, Layla. 🥹❤️

Last week, after 18 weeks of maternity leave, I returned to work. I knew it was going to be a bittersweet transition, which is why I decided to take the week off from Rantangan and our weekly menu and give myself a little time to adjust.

Funny enough, my return to work also happened around Indonesian Independence Day 🇮🇩, so over the weekend we had a little celebration and playdate for Layla and her besties.

Becoming a mom has made the meaning behind “Ibu & Kakak” feel even more full circle. I started this business as a daughter wanting to spend more time with her mom and learn from her. Now I’m a mom myself, raising my own little daughter.

And apparently becoming an Ibu doesn’t mean you stop needing your own Ibu. 😂 If anything, I need mine even more now. Her Uci (grandma) is Layla’s favorite daycare 🤣❤️

And to all of my loyal Rantangan customers, thank you for understanding my little break last week! Your favorite weekly menu will be back very soon. 😆❤️

Eid al-Fitr is expected to fall on Friday, March 20, 2026. Are you hosting an Eid party this year? Don’t worry about the food, order catering from Ibu & Kakak Catering and let us take care of the food! Food is ready for pick up on the morning of Eid or one day prior.

Ibu & Kakak Catering is serving three varieties of dishes:

1) $15 ~ Ketupat Sayur Padang: Ketupat, Kalio Nangka Buncis, Boiled Egg, Sambal Hati Kentang, and Dendeng Balado.

2) $15 ~ Ketupat Sayur Jakarta: Ketupat, Sayur Lodeh Pepaya Pedas Manis, Opor Ayam, Semur Tahu, and Sambal Hati Kentang.

3) $15 ~ Lontong Cap Gomeh: Lontong, Sayur Lodeh Labu, Beef rendang, telur pindang, Sambal Hati Ketang, bumbu koya.
