40 years ago, they shared a love for each other that was perfect in every way.
He was a young airman; she was his true love.
His orders sent them to Okinawa, Japan.
While in Japan, he wanted to celebrate their new life together and decided to purchase a gift for his bride. This set of dishes was chosen for their beauty, and to him, was the exact portrait of his lovely bride. This was his way of saying, You Are Beautiful.
Orders for the States came, and the dishes were lovingly packed and shipped to their new duty station.
The young couple’s life was full of love children, work and play. Until one day, a phone call changed the life for the young wife and mother. The love of her life was gone.
These dishes remained packed until now.
