Lover of warm natural light, genuine emotions + connections, and color. Thanks for stopping by! I'm Cheryl, or Cher for short. I live in the West Valley, and I'm also a third grade teacher. Being an active listener, demonstrating patience, and planning with the end result in mind have helped me as both a teacher and photographer. Photography will forever be my creative outlet, and my son & daughter will always be my inspiration. I'm a natural-light photographer, and I specialize in high school seniors & teens, maternity, families, and dancers on location. I LOVE shooting in the desert with warm golden light and cotton candy sunsets. But if deserts aren’t for you, then I know lots of hidden gems that look nothing like the desert. Classic sessions and senior sessions include your location choice within the Valley, and I’m always happy to help with location and/or outfit ideas. I love all things style so I've got you covered with what to wear and how to get photo-ready!! My goal is to document you, as you really are, in beautiful natural light. The most epic surprise proposal, in the most beautiful setting, with the man of my dreams. 🥹✨ I’m still on cloud 9 and soaking it in, and I’m so grateful we have these photos to relive this moment forever!

This crew of 18 showed up at 7am with color-coordinated outfits, smiles and lots of laughter. An early morning session meant cooler temperatures, beautiful light, and plenty of time to capture their connection. As Phoenix starts heating up over the next few months, early morning sessions are one of the best ways to stay comfortable by avoiding the afternoon sun and heat.

A proud mom moment and one of me rabbit holing down memory lane from preschool through 8th grade promotion. As a photographer/mom, I usually post only images taken with my Nikon camera, but a couple of these are with my phone, and I’m so glad I documented each of these moments because that went FAST! 🥺 I vividly remember taking that first image of him (in the red cap & gown) like it was yesterday when his excited, raspy 5-year old voice exclaimed, “I’ve been waiting to throw this hat up for YEARS!” 🥺 Feeling a bittersweet mix of sadness, gratitude for all of his teachers who have poured into him, and a proud mom heart for the kindhearted human that he is.
