20 years ago today on June 20th, 2005, I left my job to start my own business!

The quote from Kobi Yamada that gave me the final kick in the ass to do it said...

"Sometimes you have to take the leap and grow your wings on the way down!"

I was afraid, but with the encouragement and support of many friends, I took the leap, and started Canto Event Management 3 months later. I grew strong wings and flew!

Well, day one of our event is in the books. This is what I do! I design events.

But I don't do it alone. Thank you to my awesome team. It was a whack-a-mole kind of day but we pulled it off.

We got so many compliments and thank yous by the guests. I think our client was happy.

Where to eat in West Palm Beach Florida at 1:00 in the morning? Havana restaurant! open 24 hours! Rod Ediger and I flew in today for another great Canto event! The doggies all said goodbye at the door as usual. We will miss them but auntie Barb Forsyth will take great care of them.

Tomorrow will be filled with errands and dinner with clients and my awesome team Jeannette Corey and, Robert Westerman! Then Sunday we start loading in and setting up for an amazing tri-themed dinner event Monday night. Looking forward to seeing everybody again. After one extra day, two flight changes and one gate change I'm finally on my way home! Feeling tired but better and temp is back in the normal range. Having a pretty high fever for a couple of days kicked my ass.

Thank you Rod Ediger for being the best support and taking great care of my fur kids. That took a lot of pressure off. 😘🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
