Nothing tastes better than hard work and new beginnings! Congratulations to Homegrown Cohort 7, who recently celebrated their graduation! 🎓✨

After eight weeks of hands-on barista, customer service, and culinary training at Helpings Café, our five students showcased their new skills by preparing a delicious Thanksgiving meal for friends and family.

Programs like Homegrown remind us of what’s possible when opportunity meets support. Every skill learned, every certification earned, and every moment of confidence gained helps pave the way to stable, sustainable futures.

Congratulations, Cohort 7 — we’re so proud of all you’ve accomplished and all that’s ahead!

Helpings Café and Catering is a Social Enterprise under UMOM New Day Centers and serves handcrafted food to support community programs. Every purchase helps to fund programs and services that help UMOM clients find jobs and an affordable place to live.

Catering is also available! Catering orders contribute to ending homelessness for families and single women in our community.
