Cheers to this sweet couple, Amanda & Gina!

We had the pleasure of hosting them in February for our Equal Union event! Along with other vendors, that share in our values and core beliefs surrounding rights for the LGBTQ+ community, joined us to make this day possible for A & G.

When Vaux Studio first opened in 2018, one of the founder’s missions was to radiate the notion that we are safe. Nestled right in the Gayborhood, it was important for people to know that Vaux was a safe space and you are safe here.

That message is one that I continue to carry with love and intention. All the while, opening our doors, and our hearts to everyone who dare to love.

There’s something so magical about live music. Everything feels a little more cinematic, a little more emotional, and a lot more unforgettable.

This week on studio Spotlight is the incredibly talented team at a group that blends timeless elegance with modern energy. Their philosophy? Think Mozart meets Lady Gaga.

From classic to contemporary, Penn Strings creates a soundtrack that feels uniquely personal to every couple they serve.

What makes us admire them even more is their commitment to the wedding community beyond the events they perform. This March, Penn Strings participated in the Wedding Walk and generously donated their services to support our Equal Union event in February, helping celebrate inclusivity within the wedding industry.

It is so inspiring to see talented professionals use their gifts to make a meaningful impact.

Floral Friday is showcasing a true work of art, this incredible floral-adorned cake from Faye & Alyssa’s celebration.

Following their intimate October nuptials, the couple gathered with their guests for an evening that felt both deeply personal and effortlessly elegant. The event was layered with autumn tones, candlelit ambiance, and thoughtful details that reflected their style so beautifully.

We often talk about flowers transforming a space, but sometimes they are capable of transforming every aspect of your day. This cake was the perfect finishing touch their fall celebration!

A PROPOSAL FOR YOUR DAY: focus on the day, not the flat lay.

While traditional flat lays will always have their place, endless photographs of invitations already destined for a keepsake box, seem redundant. And while photographers are busy capturing those, they can sometimes miss the story unfolding around them.

These captures by .be.photography stopped me mid-gallery. Thoughtful, artful, and unexpected, they elevate the details from simple documentation to something far more evocative.

The smallest elements of your wedding day deserve to be seen with intention. When planning with your photographer, consider how those details can be captured in a way that feels dynamic, editorial, and distinctly your own.

Over the last year, I’ve developed a much deeper understanding of floral preparation and design, learning how individual blooms hydrate and open, the way their shape, movement, and texture evolve over time, and what flowers are practical to seasonal influences.

Every flower behaves differently, and learning how to work with those natural characteristics is one of the most technical parts of floristry. From petal manipulation to structure and placement, floral design is truly a skill that grows stronger over time… with practice and trial & error.

Moving forward, I want Floral Fridays not only to showcase our couples flowers, but serve as an educational and resourceful space for our community. Alongside sharing our favorite florists, stems, and arrangements in stories, I’ll be incorporating practical tips, techniques, and behind-the-scenes insights for DIY brides, aspiring florists, and anyone creating arrangements at home!

This week’s Studio Spotlight is the sweetest yet!

For years, New June Bakery has been creating beautiful cakes and desserts for our couples. From our first bite in 2021, we were hooked. From then on, every time a couple mentioned a New June cake was en route, we were smitten!

What began as an in-home passion project for Nicole has grown into a beloved bakery known for whimsical, colorful cakes that taste every bit as incredible as they look. Each creation feels thoughtful, joyful, and artfully made. From fresh florals to ornate detailing, her cakes are sure to stun every time!

Beyond crafting edible works of art, New June is sharing their love of all things cake through decorating classes. Their class offerings, locations, and upcoming dates can all be found on Instagram and through their website.

Lacey & Liam, a love story years in the making.

After sharing a homeroom in high school for four years without ever speaking, a cooking class & cat TikToks finally brought them together.

What followed was a relationship built on the sweetest kind of love: connecting over shared hobbies, dreaming about future homes on neighborhood walks, & weekends spent antiquing.

Theirs is the kind of relationship rooted in friendship, kindness, and the shared goal of building a love together that will last a lifetime.

We have so much more memories to share from this epic day!
