Each week on her podcast, Amy Poehler welcomes celebrities and fun people to her studio. In the last month, she's been joined by Da'Vine Joy Randolph, who has some thoughts on cookware and stories about Al Pacino on a ladder, and Colman Domingo, who compares Gen X's favorite dance moves 🎤

They share stories about their careers, mutual friends, shared enthusiasms, and most importantly, what's been making them laugh. This podcast is not about trying to make you better or giving advice. Amy just wants to have a good time.

You can catch both interviews (and many more) on YouTube or wherever you get your podcasts!

This weekend is the opening weekend of Steven Spielberg's DISCLOSURE DAY, and we can't wait to see not one but two Owls in the credits! Colman Domingo plays Hugo Wakefield, and Liz Wiest was an Assistant Production Coordinator 🛸

If you found out we weren't alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? A new extraterrestrial tale from Steven Spielberg starring Emily Blunt, Josh O'Connor, Colin Firth and Colman Domingo, IndieWire's David Ehrlich said of the film, "Spielberg... continues to delight in telling stories about regular people being subsumed into larger-than-life spectacle, and he’s as giddy as ever about replicating that experience for his audience.”

Congratulations, Colman and Liz! DISCLOSURE DAY opens this Friday, June 12th, in theaters nationwide.

Just announced: Prof. Amina Robinson is the next Artistic Director of Theatre Horizon! Starting in November, Amina takes the helm as Theatre Horizon expands its community-centered programming.

From Amina: “This theater has played an important role in my journey as a director, beginning with The Color Purple, and throughout this process, I was reminded once again of the creativity, generosity, and sense of community that defines this organization. I’m honored to step into this new role and excited to build deeper relationships with the artists, audiences, students, and neighbors who make Theatre Horizon such a vital part of Norristown and the region’s cultural landscape.”

Congratulations, Amina! You can read more on BroadwayWorld, Theatre Horizon, and The Inquirer's websites.

Did you catch the Tony Awards last night? 👏🎭 Broadway's biggest night had historic wins and powerhouse performances, and today we wanted to shout out Bess Wohl and her play LIBERATION, which took home the Tony Award for Best Play!

Wohl's win is the 4th time a female playwright has won Best Play; it's been 17 years since Yasmina Reza won for GOD OF CARNAGE, and 37 years since an American woman took home the honor, with the last being Wendy Wasserstein for THE HEIDI CHRONICLES.

Congratulations, Bess! You can catch LIBERATION here in Philadelphia as soon as October, as it makes it's regional premiere at the Philadelphia Theatre Company. We know where we'll be starting Oct. 9th!

Temple Theaters is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dito Van Reigersberg, also known as Martha Graham Cracker. A giant of the theater, drag, and q***r communities of Philadelphia, Dito was an actor, cabaret performer, and founder of Pig Iron Theatre Company.

Martha Graham Cracker burst onto the Philadelphia scene in 2005, and for years hosted monthly cabarets at L'Etage. She also performed regularly at Joe's Pub in NYC, and in 2025 celebrated 20 years of the Martha Graham Cracker Cabaret. Most recently, Dito's musical POOR JUDGE premiered in the 2024 Philadelphia Fringe Festival where it received 9 Barrymore nominations, including Outstanding Leading Performance in a Musical for Dito himself. It was remounted last fall at The Wilma Theater.

Dito performed and spoke to our Practicum students in 2022, pictured here, and his shining spirit left a mark on us and the communities around him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and a town changed by his music, intelligence, and heart.

It's June! It's Pride Month! 🌈 We got into the pride spirit a little early this year: Just over a month ago, our production of THE PROM was taking the stage and telling the story of a high schooler who just wanted to go to prom with her girlfriend, and the Broadway stars who came to help.

From Philadelphia to Illinois and around the world, we hope you have a great pride month! 🏳️‍🌈
