Six years ago, approached me about helping create a festival to celebrate all things lager. From that meeting, Logjammin’ was born.
The first year was a small affair in a parking lot off N. American Street, featuring around 30 breweries and a few hundred attendees. Over the next five years, the festival grew into a beloved event at , welcoming more than 100 hand-selected breweries from around the world, a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, and over a thousand attendees.
This year, Logjammin’ is happening in a different city, with a different brewery and someone else at the helm. While I’m grateful to see the festival live on beyond Philadelphia, I’d be lying if I said this weekend isn’t a little bittersweet. It’s strange watching something you helped build continue without you, but I’m proud of what Logjammin’ became and excited to see its next chapter unfold.
Sending love from Philly to the new home of Logjammin’ and to . Wishing everyone a wonderful festival weekend.
