🎉 Education Day is almost here! We’re looking forward to seeing you tomorrow, Thursday, September 17th, at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia.

Before you join us, here are a few things to know:

📍 Location: Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia, 900 Packer Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19148
📌 Meeting Room: Events Center, second floor

🅿️ Parking: Complimentary self-parking is available. From Packer Avenue, turn onto Darien Street. The self-park garage is to the right, after the main entrance. Park on Floor 3 or 4, staying to the right side of the garage. Enter through the elevator bank marked Hotel Side/Darien Street elevators, then take the elevator to Floor 2 for the Event Center. Valet parking is also available at posted rates.

🤝 Giving Back: We encourage PCMA PHL members to support The Work Group’s New Jersey Youth Corps of Camden by donating gently used clothing, shoes, accessories, and new personal hygiene items. Donations help support educational and job training opportunities for at-risk youth.

💙 Education Day is about more than education — it’s also about giving back.

As we get closer to PCMA PHL Education Day on Thursday, September 17, we want to remind attendees to participate in our Community Service Project!

This year, we’re supporting The Work Group’s New Jersey Youth Corps of Camden, which helps young adults ages 16–25 earn their high school diplomas while gaining valuable workforce experience, career exploration opportunities, and essential life skills.

👜 Help us give back by bringing new or gently used:
• Clothing
• Shoes
• Accessories
• New personal hygiene items

Donations will support Thrift Works Resale Boutique, where participants gain hands-on retail experience while proceeds help fund educational and job-training opportunities for at-risk youth.

So, as you’re getting ready for Education Day, check your closet, gather what you can, and bring it with you on Thursday, September 17! Together, we can make an impact while connecting, learning, and growing as a community. 💙

🧠 What happens to high-performing teams when the pressure is on?

At PCMA PHL Education Day, we’re kicking off Session I with “How High-Performing Teams Master Change, Pressure, and Dysfunction,” featuring PCMA Leading Class Speaker Kathryn Landis. Today’s leaders are navigating constant change, competing priorities, expanding responsibilities, and fewer resources. Under pressure, even strong teams can lose momentum. Decisions get pushed upward, meetings multiply, and teams can struggle to move forward.

In this highly practical session, Kathryn will draw on Harvard research and her work with senior leadership teams to explore why capable teams can get stuck under pressure and what leaders can do to restore clarity, alignment, and momentum.

• Identify the hidden dynamics behind team friction
