Fonthill Castle is imagination set in stone. 🏰 Built by Henry Chapman Mercer — archaeologist, anthropologist, ceramicist, scholar, and visionary — every room, stair, and tile reflects the mind of a maker who saw possibility in craft and purpose in detail. What began as Mercer’s personal masterpiece now welcomes new stories on its grounds, each celebration adding to the legacy he left behind. Every event supports the Bucks County Historical Society’s work to preserve Fonthill Castle and the creative spirit that continues to define it. A place built from imagination, alive with the same spirit that created it.

Having an entire town to yourself for your party? Say less! 🎉

Waterloo Village is a restored 19th century canal town on the Musconetcong River inside Allamuchy Mountain State Park. Guests can explore 26 historic buildings including the mill, the general store, the blacksmith shop, the church, and village houses, crossing bridges and taking in the surrounding wilderness. And yes, alpacas and chickens will be there to greet your nearest and dearest.

The village even comes with its own working farm, where rows of fruits, vegetables, and herbs are grown and taken to the kitchen to be prepped and served at your celebration — connecting the food back to the very land where it all takes place.

It’s a setting that opens up just for you and your guests, turning the day into something you’ll always carry with you.
