To our valued customers and friends...Please take a moment to read this update.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us that..”to everything there is a season...”. Twenty five plus years ago Miss Dawn Mars called us at “the Chevron” to ask us if we would cook her some chicken nuggets to take to Ole Miss tailgating on Saturday. Naturally, we said yes. Best I remember, this is the first food we sent out (other than plate lunches) for the public. And I stand amazed in 2020 at what God has allowed, and what He has helped us to do! We were never fancy cooks, we just cooked food. But, Philadelphia, you have blessed these two simple folks beyond our wildest dreams! Some of you stopped in the Chevron to get a biscuit and Mt. Dew on the way to school; years later we catered your daughter’s wedding reception, or your son’s rehearsal dinner. Ronnie and Michele Craft Jones, what can I say! Until God calls me home, I will never forget your support, encouragement, and for making the Cole House possible. Carson and I have tried throughout our business-life to conduct ourselves with honor and integrity, never to abuse the privilege of you doing business with us. I would be remiss if I did not thank the absolutely wonderful people who helped us over the years with preparing food, decorating, serving, setting up tents and chairs, dance floor. Oh, the fun we had in the kitchen! And thank you for keeping me in line....I have said all that to say...we are retiring!! Father Time seems to move faster now... we still have a few events on the calendar that we are most certainly going to honor but will not be booking any more. We will still have tents, tables, chairs, dance floor to rent, until I can talk Carson into selling them. We are getting another granddaughter on Monday❤️! So, we will still be busy with loving that sweet baby. Once it’s okay to travel again, we will head to Texas to see Turner. Thankful for FaceTime. Carson and I love you, and want to say again, how thankful we are to be a part of this community of wonderful folks.!! And for those that have already contacted us about fair cooking for you, we will be doing yours. God bless you all.....as we enter into a new season !
