We are incredibly proud to celebrate our 2026 Philadelphia Music Alliance Walk of Fame inductee, Pablo Batista, the first Latino artist to receive this distinguished honor.

Pablo Batista is an internationally acclaimed Grammy and Oscar Award winning master percussionist whose music has carried the heartbeat of Philadelphia to iconic stages around the world for more than 40 years. His extraordinary career includes touring internationally with Grover Washington Jr. for 14 years, traveling the world nine times with Alicia Keys, including the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, and performing at the Oscars with Academy Award winning artist H.E.R. in 2021.

Throughout his legendary career, Pablo has collaborated with celebrated artists including Patti LaBelle, Jill Scott, Eddie Palmieri, and many others. His original works, including Ancestral Call and El Viaje (The Journey), have inspired audiences through powerful storytelling and musical excellence.

At Esperanza, we are especially honored to work alongside Pablo as the curator of the annual Esperanza Latin Jazz Showcase, where he continues to uplift culture, community, and the next generation of artists through the power of music.

Congratulations, Pablo! We could not be prouder to celebrate this historic and well-deserved recognition.
