September 22, 2019 I began the design process for what the character of my first children’s book would look like.

I wanted her to be a reflection of how I thought Brown Girls nationwide should see themselves.

Fun, beautiful, intelligent, bright, admirable, kind, creative.

I wanted her complexion to be true , her hair to be honest, her body structure to be sincere and her personality to be authentic.

I wanted her leadership ability and style to shine bright. I also wanted Philly to be present… ruffle socks on little girls is so “Philly” 🙃. Every little detail mattered socks, complexion, size, fullness of her lips, structure of her nose and ears.

I want my children's books to inspire children to be their best self. To be true to who they are; to use their imagination and creativity. I want children especially little brown girls to learn, grow, express themselves and celebrate life’s most precious moments.

Allow me to reintroduce myself ’

Everything I know about events is self-taught. I discovered a passion for events and designing very early on and it has stuck with me throughout my entire career both corporate and entrepreneurial.

Designing events has taught me so much about myself, about others and working in the events and celebration industry has instilled a sense of confidence in me that i undoubtedly want to share with the world. So… I became an author.

Celebrating birthdays IS MY THING! Those who know me both personally and professionally know how much I love birthdays. I want my children's books to inspire children to be their best self. And just like that... Hours turned into Days, Days turned into Weeks, Weeks turned into Months and we’re celebrating 17 Years In Business.

Late Nights, Early Mornings, hundreds of events, thousands of emails and consultations... countless hours of research and running errands. Several hundred invoice edits and price adjustments, keeping up with trends and setting a few ourselves ... Not many setbacks but some uphill battles. With determination we’ve made it. With perseverance, dedication, consistency and patience we’ve made it. The vision wasn’t always clear, never any hand holding and very few mentors we’ve made it.

We couldn’t have imagined what life would be like then ... but we have to say WE ARE PROUD we’ve MADE IT.

Thank You to our clients for patronizing our business and allowing us to be a part of your memories year after year. Thank You to our team for supporting our dreams and running when we just can’t run anymore. Thank You to our friends for your understanding and endless encouragement. Thank You to our Event Baes for we are stronger together than we are a part. Thank You to our parents for filling in the gaps when we fell short and stepping in when you saw fit.

We learned along time ago … to never beg for a seat at someone else’s table.

We built our own table and invited others to have a seat

I created the Premier Events Association and For The Love Of Events workshops out of a sheer desire to see other event professionals grow their businesses. I wanted to create a network and home for event professionals to re-energize themselves, reignite their businesses, build a network within our profession and MAKE MONEY. Being an entrepreneur is HARD and not for the faint of heart; yet doable with the appropriate support system. Together we can do this. The Premier Events Association creates an environment of like-minded professionals, who can be transparent TOGETHER, grow TOGETHER, set and reach goals TOGETHER in an effort to maintain an already evolving profession. My primary vision and ultimate goal is to create a world wide network of event professionals who aspire to expand their knowledge within this “INDUSTRY” create private events for Event Planners By Event Planners and run DOPE businesses. - Welcome To The Family
