Let's talk calla lilies! Their clean lines and architectural stems have made them one of my most-requested flowers for modern, minimalist brides this summer. ✨🤍

Their name traces back to the ancient Greek word for beauty (kallos), and according to myth, they were so stunning that the Roman goddess Venus was jealous of their pure white glow—cursing them with their spiky center.

Fun fact: callas aren't actually lilies at all—they’re part of the Araceae family alongside philodendrons! Though native to modern-day South Africa and Malawi, they made their way to Europe in the 1600s. When an 18th-century Swedish botanist accidentally miscategorized them, the name "calla lily" stuck forever.
