🌻 A little PSA from our hearts here at Creations Flower Shop. 💛
Today, we walked into a funeral home to deliver flowers for an amazing woman who had passed away. While we were there, we noticed another arrangement that had been delivered through a national floral ordering service.
And friends, it took our breath away. Unfortunately, not in a good way.
We stood there looking at those flowers, knowing someone had spent their hard-earned money to send something beautiful, meaningful, and comforting to a grieving family.
Instead, this is what arrived.
So here’s our heartfelt PSA:
If you’re ordering flowers for a funeral, especially from out of town, PLEASE take a few extra minutes to find a local flower shop.
🌻 Read their reviews.
🌻 Visit their page.
🌻 Look at photos of their actual work.
🌻 Call them directly and talk to a real person.
You don’t have to live in the community to support a small business in that community.
And more importantly, you deserve to know there’s someone standing behind the quality of what you’re purchasing.
Flowers are so much more than flowers, especially when someone is saying their final goodbye.
We couldn’t bring ourselves to leave that arrangement there. We couldn’t imagine the family seeing it or wondering who would have sent something that looked so neglected.
So we asked permission to take it back to our shop.
We added fresh flowers, gave it some love, and brought it back to life. Not because anyone asked us to. Not because we were being paid to.
But because it was the right thing to do. ❤️
That family was already experiencing enough heartache. If we could make one tiny part of their day a little more beautiful, we were going to do it.
We aren’t sharing this to embarrass another florist. We’re sharing it because people deserve to know that where they order matters.
When you shop local, you’re supporting people who live, work, and care about the families in your community.
And at Creations, we believe every arrangement that leaves our doors carries a little piece of our hearts with it.
Please, friends, shop local. Even when you’re ordering from hundreds of miles away. 🌻
