Today we celebrated our son’s 4th birthday and made a few simple swaps to keep things a little more sustainable—and a little less Pinterest-pressure perfect.

🎉 Instead of single-use, themed plates, we borrowed reusable ones from The Forever Party Box Sponsored by The Chapel Hill Elementary PTA
🎉 Cloth tablecloths and napkins stepped in for plastic and paper.
🎉 We used some of my son’s favorite toy trucks as decorations—and the kids actually played with them, which was a win-win.
🎉 And we skipped goody bags this year. Honestly? Not a single kid noticed.

Did it mean a bit more cleanup? Sure. But it wasn’t overwhelming—and the party was still full of joy, laughter, and play (the important stuff). Sometimes the simplest choices feel the best. 💙 Thanks Chapel Hill Elementary P.T.A. for offering the reusable party box!!

The Party Box is getting ready for a party tomorrow! Now with 90 plates (15 each of light pink, dark pink, light blue, dark blue, mustard yellow, and mint) you can mix and match to coordinate with your next party theme. Message for details!
