Congratulations to Stephanie and Bradley who are celebrating their love story at Drumore Estate today! 💙

"We met in July of 2021 while attending a United States Army training course at Fort Sill Oklahoma. From the start we were drawn to each other! Over the next few months, we began spending more and more time together. We were stationed at different Army posts, about 8 hours apart, but that did not stop us! We found our best friend and greatest companion in each other. On November 9th, 2023, we were officially married, but due to military requirements we were unable to share our love and celebrate with friends and family. We are very excited to be renewing our vows with our formal ceremony and reception at Drumore Estate!"

"Drumore was one of the first venues we visited. After visiting several others, our hearts and minds kept going back to Drumore. It just felt right.

We got married in July on a hot, summer Sunday, Drumore Estate was not only a stunning backdrop for our forever, but also, Marnie and the rest of the Drumore staff really are the dream team! They got us from start to finish with tons of support and stellar service every step of the way! It was incredible to see a list of notes come to life on our beautiful wedding day. Everything was picture perfect, on time, and just the way we imagined. No one even noticed the little issues, because Marnie and her team would ensure everything remained smooth. The staff was always incredibly excited, even when dealing with the stickier details.

Thank you so much for everything you did—not just for us, but for our family and friends. Thank you for your patience and your kindness. If we had to do it again, we'd choose Drumore Estate every time. You all are the absolute best!!!"

Our Story

THEN:

Drumore Estate was founded in 1938 when local newspaper magnate and philanthropist John F. Steinman sought out a hilltop in the Lancaster County countryside to build a peaceful retreat. He decided upon this property in the southern end of Lancaster, situated on the second highest peak in the county with a view of his newspaper building in downtown Lancaster. Philadelphia architect Robert R. McGoodwin was commissioned to design the 16,000 square foot brick Georgian mansion so that it best complimented the natural beauty of the property.

Mature trees were transplanted on the property in 1939 and the towering sycamores lining the driveway are a hallmark of the estate to this day. Drumore Estate features a breathtaking wedding aisle for brides to ascend stairs from the mansion to make their entrance through the Formal Gardens. To the left of the Fountain Garden, the bucolic view stretches across the Susquehanna River Valley.

John F. Steinman planned the property with entertaining in mind. There are numerous patios, balconies, porches, pools, and fountains nestled in the Formal Gardens. Other local Steinman family properties include Conestoga House and Gardens and the Pressroom Restaurant adjacent to Steinman Park where a statue honors John F. Steinman and his brother, James Hale Steinman. John F. Steinman loved Drumore Estate and lived here until he died in 1980.
