It’s the little things you don’t know to think about until someone reminds you. 🤍

From marriage license reminders to ceremony details, wedding planning comes with plenty of little things that are easy to overlook when you’re juggling a million decisions.

A few things to keep on your radar:

✨ Marriage license deadlines. Know when and where to apply, what to bring, and what needs to happen after the ceremony.

Ceremony logistics. Who has the rings? Who is cueing the processional? Does your officiant know the plan?

Vendor communication. Make sure everyone has the correct timeline, arrival details, and setup instructions before the big day.

The little things. Emergency kits, personal items, final payments, and who’s taking home your cards and gifts all need a plan, too.

At Aurora Rose Co., we help you keep track of the details, ask the questions you might not know to ask, and make sure important things don’t get lost in the shuffle.

You have enough to be excited about. You shouldn’t have to remember every little thing on your own. ✨

Imagine walking down this aisle 🤍

Your walk down the aisle is one of the most meaningful moments of your wedding day. And the space you walk through can make it feel even more special.

If you’re dreaming of a ceremony that feels personal from the very first step, here are a few details to consider:

✨ Create an entrance. Draped curtains, a floral arch, or a statement doorway can make the walk feel like its own special moment.

Line the aisle with intention. Florals, candles, greenery, or scattered petals can transform even a simple ceremony space.

Think about the details. Personalized signage, thoughtfully chosen seating, or meaningful décor can tie your ceremony design together.

Make it yours. Incorporate colors, flowers, or design elements that reflect your story and the atmosphere you want to create.

You don’t need an elaborate setup to make an impact. Sometimes it’s the smallest, most intentional details that make a moment unforgettable.

At Aurora Rose Co., we love helping couples bring their vision to life, right down to the walk of a lifetime ✨

Your ceremony space deserves a little thought, too.

A backdrop doesn’t have to be elaborate to make an impact. It can help define the space, create a focal point, and give your photographer a beautiful setting for some of the most meaningful moments of the day.

A few things to consider:

✨ Think beyond the traditional arch. Florals, draping, fabric, greenery, a custom installation, or even the architecture of your venue can create a beautiful backdrop.

Consider the photos. Your ceremony backdrop will likely be in a lot of your images, so think about how it works with your overall design and the space around you.

Make it feel like you. Your backdrop doesn’t need to be over-the-top. A simple, intentional design can have just as much impact.

And remember—your ceremony backdrop doesn’t have to compete with the two of you. It should frame the moment and complement the space, not take it over.

As planners and designers, we love helping couples think through those details and find the right balance between beautiful and intentional. 🤍

Do you have to follow wedding traditions?

Short answer: No. It's your day 🤍

There are so many wedding traditions that have been passed down over the years, but that doesn't mean you have to include them in your celebration.

Want to skip the bouquet toss? Skip it.
Want to do a first look? Do it.
Want to have a private ceremony and throw one big party afterward? We're here for it.

Your wedding should reflect you—your relationship, your personalities, and what actually feels meaningful to the two of you.

Traditions can be beautiful when they have meaning. But you don't have to do something just because it's what you're "supposed" to do.

That's where we come in.

At Aurora Rose Co., we're here to listen to what matters to you, help you navigate the decisions, and bring your vision to life—whether it's traditional, completely unconventional, or somewhere in between.

Because there's no right way to have a wedding.

There's only your way. ✨

Where to find ceremony inspiration 🤍

Not sure where to start? Look beyond the traditional wedding inspiration and start paying attention to the moments that actually make you feel something.

Save ceremonies you love on Pinterest or Instagram. Ask recently married friends what made their ceremony meaningful. Talk with your officiant about ideas. Watch old family wedding videos. Even songs, books, or meaningful moments from your own relationship can spark an idea.

Maybe you find a reading you love, a unique processional, a meaningful tradition, or an idea you never would have thought of on your own.

You don’t have to copy anything you see. Let inspiration help you figure out what feels right for the two of you.

And as planners, we can help take all those ideas and turn them into a ceremony that feels intentional, personal, and completely yours. ✨

The first dance sets the mood. The timeline keeps it going. ✨

Your first dance is one of those moments that sets the tone for the celebration—romantic, fun, sentimental, or completely you.

But what happens after that moment matters, too.

A thoughtful timeline makes sure the night flows naturally from one moment to the next, without feeling rushed or leaving your guests wondering what’s happening.

When should dinner begin? When do speeches happen? When should the dance floor open? When do you sneak away for sunset photos? When should the band or DJ make announcements?

These little decisions can make a big difference in how your wedding day feels.

As planners, we look at the entire day—not just the big moments—to create a timeline that keeps everything moving while still giving you time to actually enjoy it.

Because the goal isn't to pack your day full of events.

It's to create a rhythm that lets you be present for all of them. 🤍

Don’t forget to build in time for your bridal portraits 📸

Your wedding day timeline can fill up quickly, and bridal portraits are one of those things that can easily get squeezed out if you don’t plan for them ahead of time.

Whether you want classic portraits of just you, a few photos with your wedding party, or a little extra time with your photographer to capture all the details of your look, give yourself room to enjoy it.

Our planner tip? Build portrait time into your timeline instead of trying to squeeze it in between everything else.

That way, you’re not feeling rushed, your photographer has time to create the images you want, and you can actually enjoy the moment.

We’ll help you think through when it makes the most sense based on your ceremony, first look, family photos, and the rest of your day—because sometimes the best photos happen when you’re not watching the clock. 🤍

Your first dance deserves a little main character energy. ✨

It’s one of those moments where the rest of the room seems to disappear and, for a few minutes, it’s just the two of you.

Our planner tip? Choose a song that feels like you—not just one that sounds good for a first dance. And if you want the moment to feel extra special, think about the setting, lighting, and where your photographer will be positioned to capture it.

Whether you’re planning a choreographed routine, swaying to your favorite song, or doing something completely unexpected, make it yours.

Because your first dance doesn’t have to look a certain way. It just has to feel like you. 🤍

Do you really need a wedding planner?

Your wedding day is not the day to be the person who knows where everything is, who is supposed to arrive when, or what to do when something doesn’t go according to plan.

You should be the person getting married.

And your family and friends should be celebrating with you—not setting up décor, tracking down vendors, or solving last-minute problems.

A planner doesn’t just plan the pretty things. We manage the moving pieces so you can actually experience the day you spent months planning.

At Aurora Rose Co., we’re communicating with your vendors, keeping the timeline moving, overseeing setup, answering questions, handling the unexpected, and taking care of the details happening behind the scenes.

Because you’ve spent months making this day happen. You deserve to be fully present for it—and so do the people you love most. 🤍

That’s what having a planner is really about.

Budget-friendly doesn’t mean DIY everything.

Staying within your wedding budget is less about doing everything yourself and more about being intentional about where your money goes.

A few things we always recommend:

✨ Prioritize what matters most to you.
Spend more on the things you’ll truly notice and care about, and save on the things that aren’t as important to you.

🤍 Don’t DIY just to save money.
Your time has value, too. Sometimes purchasing something or hiring someone is worth it when it saves you hours of work and stress.

Think about the guest experience.
You don’t need every detail to make your wedding memorable. Focus on the things your guests will actually experience—great food, a fun atmosphere, music, and a celebration that feels like you.

Watch the little extras.
Those small upgrades can add up quickly. Before adding something to your wedding, ask yourself: Does this actually matter to us?

And this is where having a planner can really help. We can help you prioritize, talk through where your budget will have the biggest impact, and find ways to bring your vision to life without spending just for the sake of spending.

You don’t have to sacrifice everything you want—or do everything yourself—to stay on budget. ✨
