Sometimes the smallest moments hold the biggest lessons. 🌱💚

Today in our Embracing Our Emotions class, we explored the feeling of jealousy and how we can shift our focus from what others have to the beautiful things already growing in our own lives.

As part of our Growth Garden activity, each child whispered things they are grateful for into their seeds before planting them. Watching their little faces light up as they shared their blessings was such a special reminder that gratitude helps our hearts grow. ✨

When we practice noticing the good around us, jealousy begins to lose its power and contentment can take root. 🌻

Our Embracing Our Emotions classes are filled with hands-on activities, meaningful conversations, and take-home tools that help children learn to understand and express their feelings in healthy ways.

Being a small business owner often means you have to work your business tasks around your primary job until one day you can just rely on your small business income. I can’t tell you how many small business owners work 20-40 hours a week at their primary job while also running a business around those hours.

Starting a business is a huge financial investment and on average takes a few years before you can be considered profitable, meaning you’re not earning money just to pay operating costs and your initial investments.

If you’re working with a small business, know that they are truly putting their heart and soul into their work. Be gracious and kind as they’re always working overtime with no real days off.

I have so much more appreciation and awareness for my local businesses, knowing more than half the time they’re wearing so many more hats than we ever get to usually see. 💕
